... and start over. Wouldn't it be nice to start fresh with no one knowing or judging you on the past, in such a way that you are really free to be yourself finally? That would be nice.

There is a saying, silver threads among the gold. make new friends but keep the old .... but sometimes that hurts. Suppose the old remind you of something you'd rather forget? For real!!

Does anyone have any suggestions as for why I should or shouldn't take my maiden name back after a divorce? There are no children involved, so that won't play a role. I've had my married name for 5 years and am used to it. Then again, I had my maiden name for 23 years, but I don't even remember being that person in a way. I keep going back and forth...I can't seem to decide. I think it might hurt my parents feelings if I don't go back, and I think it's weird to keep ties to an ex. At the same time, it's who I've been for 5 years. And I'm not ending the marriage because I hate my husband, so there's no drive to change back to get rid of anything of him. Any suggestions? :)

Well, I am single.... and gay, and someone told me that gay people can't fall in love with other guys and all this other crap, well, there's this guy that I really "like" and he's constantly on my mind and every love song I listen to reminds me of him and I don't think it's love, but this has been going on for a really long time, what is this?

I feel like I'm never going to get organized or on a system. The problem with meals is I'm a vegetarian and my husband eats anything so its hard to find recipes for both of us..my baby boy is only 3 months. I wish their was like a service where you could have a homemaking professional map it all out,lol. Thanks so much.

theres this one guy that i like so much but there are so many problems. i don't kno if he likes me, but when he walks, he walks near me, and everytime his sister comes over [my friend] he comes with her, and he asks his sister about me, he asks me 2 put me on my top friends on myspace, he puts me on his top 4 on myspace, he always sit by me whenevr my mom invites them over for dinner, and all those examples i gave you might seem like he likes me 2, but anytime in church or something, he doesn't really talk to me, he doesn't really show that he likes me, he never flirted with me, and in real life, it seems like just coincedence. he has so much in common with me. he likes everything i like, and even he has the same problems as me. and he's not trying to be like me, he just am. and he has the same secretes, like he likes a kiddie show and i like it 2, and everything. he never really tried to be my friend, i guess we just am, knowing each other for so long. now, we're kinda friends now,

When my husband & I were living together his ex-gfriend would call drunk at 2 or 3 in the morning crying over some drama in her life. I put up with it, though I didn't appreciate it. After we married she just kind of went away & for 8 years he heard about her but not from her. About 2 years ago she called & asked him to help her with something & ever since then she calls him at the very least 2x a month with some favor she needs or to talk about some drama in her life. I tried to be nice & pleasant to her but she is a a liar, a thief & blames everyone but herself for problems in her life. The man she was living with asked her daughter about some things and she gave him honest answers that caused their split so she called social services & told them her daughter was doing drugs--a lie. These r just a few things she's done. I asked him to break all ties with her but he says they're friends & he shouldn't have to & Im wrong to ask him to. Please give me some thoughts on this.

What is the reason for it? Destiny? A lesson to be learned somewhere? Or is someone more persistent (and insensitive) than you?

I also am thinking that sometimes, someone you find absolutely awful can also have a good influence on you because of something they understand ... but what if you can't stand that person? If you remove them, the good influence is gone, and if they get to stay, it drives you crazy?

I have a 14yr old daughter and she does not want to be with her dad. He always uses bad language toward her when he is mad at her & breaks things. She is scared of him and she says that if anyone makes her go back she will runaway. He last told me that he is going to take this to court, cause she is only 14 and has no say in this. Oh my god! Please help! I am SOOOO confused! I am at a point in my life where every decision I make im pacts my future tremendously. I have never been this confused, so maybe somebody wise can help me with this. I have been with "john" for almost 4 years.This last year we grew apart, because we were trying to make our long distance relationship work. He wants to marry me, but he seriously annoys me, and I cant be my self! I have a child with john. John is smart and extremely motivated, and can take good care of me and my child. I am trying to do what is best for my child, but, another man named "bob" is who I have love for. He makes me laugh. I am truly myself and happy with bob. And we have passion for one another, something john and I are lacking. Im 17 years old.... obviously old enough to make my own decisions.. BUT... My mom constantly tells me I have to respect her when she shows me NO respect what so ever!! Like.. shes so hypocritical... We have been togehter for 10 months and in October I found out he has 5 kids, 13, two 12, 11, and 4. I am trying to be understanding but I dont have any kids so its hard. I am not use to all those kids and he wants to be a good dad and I want that for him. I am just so confused about my feelings. And I feel like a bad person but I was mislead and I kinda resent him for that I guess. So finding out about the 5 in October and now its Christmas time and I meet 3 of the 5 So its got me freaked out and at times sick. But I am in love with him, I know the logical answer is if I love him accept it but HOW? How do I get comfortable about it? I can't talk to him cuz I might say the wrong thing. He wants them to spend the weekend and we are broke our rent isnt even paid we cant even feed ourselves. And they live an hour away and our car is on the fritz and he doesnt discuss anything with me. Like whatever he says I just have to accept no questions. He dont tell me ****... I am confused-HELP.
