Have you ever heard a teen say that their mother is treating them badly and the adults around all say "Hey, that's your MOTHER." and they immediately side with the mother???

I was raised by a very mentally ill and abusive mother. She told lies about me to the people I cared about. I was never allowed to speak on my own behalf. She still plays these games today and I am 37.

I wonder why people think that giving birth raises someone's status to being beyond reproach. My mother beat me, lied about me, emotionally abused me and threw me out of the house for no reason. NO ONE listened to me.

Perhaps people should take the time to consider that a teen with problems might be coming from a crappy homelife.

There is this guy that shops at my job, he tried to hit on me, I think he is at least 15-20 years older than me and I'm not even slightly interested in guys that old.I normally give a resounding "HELL NO!!" in cases like this,but since he shops at my job often, I don't want any trouble,So being the nice person that I am,I try to give obvious but non verbal hints that I don't like him,but he didn't get the message.So When he gives me his contact info, I take it,thinking that if I don't contact him,he'll really get the message.I realized this didn't work when weeks later I see him again.As my stomach acids churn from my anger,He asks with concern that he didn't see me in a long time and what happened(I WORK PART TIME YOU F%$! DUMMY!!!)is what I wanted to say but instead,I said,I was having some issues.We talked some and he offered to drive me to the train station which I declined.He even wanted to meet me at the station I said yes but I left him hangin':) Guysdon't know the word "No"why?

I kinda of got a stressful problem. My girlfriend and I have been dating for about 8 months now, we are both 19. I want to plan something kinda romantic, just for the both of us. So, there's this guy i'm head over heels for. The only problem is he's 9 years older than me and he's best friends with my teacher.... So, i'm legal in a couple weeks (age of consent in pa is 16), but if my family and or the teacher found out.. it would be disaster. We really care about each other which makes things so hard sometimes, especially because I want to be with him so bad but i can't. Ok, so my life story;

I'm a pretty girl, people call me "model beautiful", and tell me i have a great personality. People who know me well tell me im the extreme triple threat.

Im 16, and my friends are extremely dorky. They do not know how to have fun at all. Most of them are guys, and they play videogames and basketball all day, everyday.
They are also starting to get on my nerves little by little.
They always joke around that i am "the cool girl with the dorks."

I'm very shy to meet new people, its just hard for me. This one particular person thinks im boring and a goody goody. Only my close friends know im nothing like that.

Im getting so sick and tired of this, i want to have fun, live my life to the fullest but it seems impossible. Especially since its hard for me to meet new people.

Im starting to get depressed over this, and i feel like i deserve better, not trying to sound cocky.

Could someone please HELP me with this problem.

This guy and I are friends but I made it a mess..he always said he could never be angry at me. I told him now I like him more then my XBF but my XBF hurt me by pushing me down the stairs. I know sent him text messages and tell him I miss him but I couldn't talk to him because I was hurt he usually waits online for me. And today he is waiting so I said Hello but he didn't answer..before all the mess he did but he is in the military so his chatting is off and on. But it looks likes he still waiting online before it show he idle. My parents tend to think that everyone is out to get something for themselves, and it makes it hard at times to view anyone as fun or worth being friends with in a real way - as more than an aquaintance. I think they are more negative about people than need be, because I've lived by myself for a while, and have found that many people are nice enough. But whenever I am around my parents, it is hard to see people this way - especially my friends and boyfriends. They always find something wrong with them - they are not generous enough, or polite enough, or are too selfish. But most of the time, they are just normal human beings as far as I see.
It makes it really hard to enjoy being around other people sometimes. Part of me really wants to just ignore them, but then they are also right about many things. But I can't live my life always thinking my friends are going to be selfish to me or something, esp.when the only thing they might have done wrong was to forget to hold open a door once!

Ok, im a senior in high school and i like a freshman girl. she is sort of shy and once i got her to open up we have been really good friends. the problem is i dont know if she likes me the way i like her, and her dad is my 8th grade history teacher. so ive asked her to a couple of dances but her parents wont let her go to them because they are too formal. however, i do know that she brings up conversation i have with her some way or another. im pretty sure that she might feel the same way with me as i do her. now she will come up and talk with me and i got her a xmas present and she really liked it. i gave her a xmas hug and it felt really good. one event throws me. earlier the day i gave her the present a kid was asking her who she liked and i was inches from both of them. he went around and she just said yes meaning as friends. but when he came to me, she sort of paused i made eye contact and said just as friends. was this what she reallly meant or is not. she prob would tell anyway

Me and my x gf broke up about 3 months ago and we promised we werent gonna date for a while and shes alrdy moved on with this other guy and shes doing all this **** she doesnt usually do.. I am within 24 hours of booking my location for my wedding in Vegas. It will be in 2007 and I have been looking at the Bellagio to handle my big day. I need to know if I am making the right decision. how do I tell him I dont want it anymore?? btw the $1800 was vet bills because he cut his leg on glass and had to have surgery, but now he cant use his leg properly and needs to be watched almost 24 hrs a day!
