Okay, I just got engaged but I am so lost. I don’t even know where to start as far as planning goes. My mother does not believe in marriage so she is the most sportive and helping person. I don’t have many friends so I don’t have any help. I thought when you got engaged everyone is supposed to be fighting over helping me plan but no one is helping me! I don’t know what to do or where to start. I am so sad and mad at the same time. I have cried more because of this and not because of the actual engagement. Could anyone let me in on where to start and if there are any books you would recommend? I have searched the Internet but it keeps leading me to dead ends. I know I need to send out engagement announcements and I already got a great idea for that from some one on this answer thing. But what else! This is supposed to be a happy time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have fallen in love with a muslim man and we both want to commit to each other, but he is worried his family won't accept us. Is this due to religion or culture? I am a Christian.
Has anyone else done this and how did they deal with their partners family?

My ex. fiance is a great guy we just have nothing in common! and our personalitys clash in not a good way.I have begun to be attracted to one of my male friends we have know each other for 8 yrs and been friends for 5 yrs.Honestly i never saw it comming because we used to hate each other during highschool he was the popular guy who picked on me!After that we met up in college and became friends but for some reason our relationship is built on fighting/teasing each other for fun?We drive each other crazy and now work for the same company just different branches. We have started dating low key. I feel protected, safe, comfortable, and emotionally stable or loved with him.I never felt any of this with my ex.bf but i still feel something for my ex. and i know i care for him a lot should i go back to make sure?I feel bad with how things were left?

I recently left a job, and I know someone (actually an old friend!) is trying to spread bad press about me. The talk is not only whithin the company I left, but around the industry with mutual aqaintences. I left a bad situation on my own accord in good standing. The information being passed around is nobody's business, and I believe it is being done in an attempt to diminish my position in the market. Should I blow it off or comfront the perpetrator?

For you women that have been married for a long time you know your husband has your heart and you have his and there isnt any other woman that could ever split up your marriage no matter how good she looks. Does it ever bother you that your husband checks out younger women or any women? I am in my late 20's and my husband is in his early 30's I know he loves me and wouldnt do anything to jeapardize our marriage well at least not cheat on me. Anyway it has always bothered me that he checks out other women even looking at any material that has women in it. I always thought when you got married that the man you married quits looking because they have you. But I was wrong my husband says its a man thing I know there are other hot women out there and I kbnow they couldnt have my man because he lets me know I look but dont touch but it still bothers me some i want his eyes on me not drooling over some other woman. So I just wandered if any of you are dealing with this if it is a problem?

So Im getting married Jan 27th and well I decided since I use to be a club DJ that I was just gonna do it myself. Get the songs and then put them on a mixing board program I have and just walk away. Well needless to say there is a huge diffrence between mushy wedding songs and pullen out the glow sticks techno... HELP!!!

Or are they just coincidences? For instance if you see someone all the time in places you wouldn't normally or someone contacting you when you have been thinking about them. Just coincidence or something else?

Or any online dating horror stories? I'm going on a blind date tonight, I showed him my pictures, yet I'm still to see his. He said that he's not very photogenic. Should I be alarmed?

It seems to me, women use sex to get a guy and once they are married to him, there isn't any reason to give him sex to keep him, which is deceitful by the woman, and the frequence of sex goes way down and is extremely frustrating for the man. And once a man figures this out, he is hurt because he has been lied to and mislead by the one person in the world that he should be able to trust and should be helping him to make his life better. It is a betrayal by the woman in what she led him to expect in marriage. That things would get better not worse. No wonder so many men stray, they simply were lied to by someone that is supposed to love him.

I'm 20, he is 30. We have both been planning to get our own apartments, but it seems pointless to pay two rents when we will probably be staying together at one place or the other. I am in college and working, he works full-time. My parents have strong religious beliefs, and I don't necessarily think they are wrong, but they do not believe in us living together. They said they would cut me off completely if we moved in together...school, health and car insurance, etc...I don't really mind the bills except for health insurance. I won't have any if they cut me off, and I can't go on my boyfriend's insurance unless we are married. Even though we plan on marrying in the future, my parents said they would not support my decision and would not participate in a wedding when the time comes. I don't want to live at home any more. So we are planning on having a small ceremony in a few weeks. Are they forcing me to get married? Am I making too rash of a decision?

I was seeing a girl, we fell out over an issue of her past, that I wrongly judged her on. She ended things and I tried to get back with her. She was unsure and because I felt I was being strung along, I lost my temper and said things things I should not. She is now not speaking to me and things of me as the most judgemental person she has known. She is ignoring my text and mail.

How to I get her back talking so that I can let her see that the opinion she has of me is wrong. I am not the person she thinks I am.

This is a long distance relationship, which made it harder to simply discuss and resolve things. Any advice on how to get her talking to me again ?
