Yep, if you dont know the answer to this question you probably shouldnt be having sex in the first place! NO protection is 100% reliable to prevent pregnancy. Condoms are 99% WHEN USED CORRECTLY (used correctly is key term) and Birth control pills are about 99.2% reliable. IF you are not mature enough to raise a child (with the small chance protection won't work), you shouldn't be having intercourse. Sorry to tell you this- and I am not even a parent yet!

Yes, it is possible.

The only sure, 100% protection against pregnancy is abstention.

In other words, don't do it and you won't get pregnant.

I'm not a bible thumping fundamentalist, but you can't argue with facts. No form of birth control is 100% effective. There is always a percentage of risk involved.

Anyone who is not prepared to deal with that risk should not be having sex. I'ts pretty simple, and not that hard to understand.

Even married people, who carefully try to plan their families must understand that there is always a chance that the wife may get prenant, even after the couple take all the precautions available.

And, it does happen.

Yes!!!. Even the best condoms break. The pill does have an expiration date. Depo Provera does take 2 weeks after the injection to kick in and starts loosing power around 5 days to almost a week and a half before the next one is due! I.U.D's can fall out or get moved over. Diaphragms wear out and cervical caps fall off very easily!! Spermicidal cream can be affected by heat and age(the foam is practically useless). Even a vasectomy can be bypassed by mother nature(sometimes the vas deferahm tubes grow back!!).

Certainly it is possible. Only true method of birth control is closed legs. Both partners are responsible for protection and so male should be using a condom and female on the pill. This is not 100% foolproof but is a good strategy to follow in order to try and prevent pregnancy.

If you read the birth control pill bottle or the condom package, you will see in small writing that they both tell you that neither method is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy or STDs.

If there is a tear or hole in the condom or the diaphragm, those little guys are good swimmers and will definitely try to get to an available egg.

With the pill, if used incorrectly (or even correctly in some cases) will still leave you with eggs waiting to be fertilized by any lucky babymaker that happens to swim up to it.

of course it's possible. Neither the pill nor a condom is 100%. Just for safety sake, I take the pill and use a condom to be super cautious. Still, that isn't 100%. You should consider the reality of getting pregnant by accident before you even begin having sex. Anything is possible.

If you are on the pill or using a condom the chances of your becoming pregnant are slim to none. For more choices you should look into the patch. You apply it and forget it. Check with your doctor of ask your pharmacist for recommendations of which patch is right for you. By the way, never use condoms that have been sitting on someone's pocket or wallet for a while. Get a fresh batch and keep them in a cool dry place. Some claim that condoms "break" during intercourse. This is a fantasy. Unless...steel penises? In a crack induced world, perhaps.
Take care,
Mr. M on "pregnant."

Condoms are only 98% effective if used correctly. So yes... Even with protection you can still get pregnant... But try not to worry because stress can make you LATE, which could cause you to think you are when you arent.

Yes it is and if you didn't know that then you don't need to be having sex. There is always a chance of you getting pregnant when you have sex no matter what protection or how many forms of protection you use.

It is always possible to get pregnant, the only way to protect yourself from getting pregnant is by not having sex at all.
