What do you do about it?

2006-12-24 02:54:52 · 20 answers · asked by Anonymous in Marriage & Divorce

my now ex-boyfriend found out i have been unfaithful (no sex though) with my friend (who is my ex). He stopped loving me and says his love for me has never returned, that he never felt the same about me after that. I have been the best for him in every other way and have transformed his life... he admits it, too... but now he says he will never come back and we will never be together again. I am finding it so hard to accept I lost him... it hurts so much... I know partly it's my fault. But I believe i deserve a chance to prove to him that i can make things good and that I would never hurt him again, after seeing what it did to him. He actually took me overseas (couple of months AFTER he found out) to meet his whole family... and then, 5 days into the holiday, he told me it was over... and we spent the next 3.5 weeks traveling together.... it was hell. Knowing he doesn't want to be with me and yet spending all that time together was so cruel and so painful... I have such mixed emotions

Ladies, when you are in a public place and a guy is attracted to you and wants to approach you and start a conversation, what types of things should he say and what should he NEVER say? Describe the perfect approach. Also, what places do you prefer to be approached in and where should men never try to approach you at?

I was always under the impression that if you were dating someone, it wasn't a relationship and you were free to date other people, as long as you were honest about it (obviously not giving details as to who where and what, but just honest about the status). Now, it seems that dating has turned into this thing where people assume, from the first date, that they and their date are committed to each other, not allowed to see other people.

I am now married, and it wasn't too long ago that I was dating, been with my husband for a total of about 3 1/2 years. Before I met him, I dated. I would go out on different dates with different men (that doesn't mean I was sleeping with them). I thought that this was how we found out what we were looking for. How and when did the status of dating turn into immediate relationship?

I paid £150 for New Year tickets for and friend and myself. She had no cash so i said i pay for them until her next payday. She has now dropped out and is ignoring my requests yo pay at least her share. I can really afford to be £150 down as im saving for a house. Am i out of order to ask for this money? As im beginning to feel like a cow for it. I have now found out shes just got back with her ex and will be seeing him new year. Is it time to ditch this friend?

Guy I'm interested in (Steve), who says he's interested in me, isn't making an effort to spend time with me. Keeps asking me to be patient and not give up. Recently had an ex (Kate) with breast cancer contact him for moral support. He dated this gal years ago and she moved away to seek treatment in another city. He dated someone after that (Sharon), but they never went anywhere because he was still hung up on Kate. Two years later, here I am. He says he's not in love with Kate, but feels obligated to support her.

Positive:
- Says he's interested, compliments me, brings me little gifts
- 'Says' he wants to spend time with me

Not so positive:
- Doesn't call me--only IM and phone text
- Hasn't taken me out yet (been 2 mos)

Granted, if someone asked me out right now and i wanted to go out with them, I would. But this has been eating me up inside--esp. with the holidays and all. Part of me wants to just end this, but will I be ruining something potentially great? What should I do?

My future mother-in-law is the most frightening person I have ever met, she is rude and impatient and treats my poor little fiance and I like naughty children (he's 24), she never knocks before letting herself into our flat (she is the landlady so has keys) and we just hear this screech up the stairs that she's arrived, and I am actually starting to think I can hear her voice, even at my parents house or shopping, and I think I'm going mad!!!
How on earth do people cope with mother-in-laws?

It's my birthday in a couple of days, and I'm going to be 34.
Now I'd like to do something special and I've tried looking on the web for ideas but I'm still not sure. I'd like to be DOING something.
I may be able to find a baby sitter for that day, and if not would you know of anything I could do where I could possibly include my two children aged between 6 and 10.
No, I don't have a bf. It's just me and the kids!
Thanks for helping.

i have a girlfriend who is 14 years old and we have been dating for a very long time. we held hands (of course), french kissed and hugged. Should i get even more intimate?. Not as in sex, i know shes too young for that. Something like sneaking under her undies or some sort. This is my first ever girlfriend, i love her a lot and im afraid of any wrong steps which would lead to losing her. Please help.

I love pigtails myself but untill lately I only have been wearing them at home when its too hot because I've always kept my hair in a style to hide my ears as they are really big and stick straight out and totally take over and change the way I look. But my lover loves me in high pigtails so much that I now wear them all the time for him and I just promised I'd even wear them up when he's not around. I'm wondering if he just wants me to look funny so boys don't flurt with me cause he's also very keen on cuting off all my hair.
I went out with two of my girlfriends clubbing the other night and usually I get a lot of attention but all I got just stares while my girl friends got lots of attention while some drunk was telling me I had the biggest ears he'd ever seen. I do love my relationship and would love to please him even if its embarassing Should I just get used to it and try and accept my ears the way they are or are pigtails or cropped hair for me a crime against good hair sense?

your aunt did not visit you for the festive seasons?
she is my mom's younger sister. i feel very sad for my mom(eldest) coz the two and family of dem did not come over to visit .
coz our culture is like the younger sister will visit the older ones 1st.. this has been going on for 4 years.. my mom wonders what did she do wrong. almost all the other 2 years my family visited them 1st like thinking ok nothing wrong to visit ..

the thing (i found out) is one cousin of mine has a caucasian boyfriend (we are south east asian) and imagine brought him along with my aunts family to visit every other relative except of us.. its like saying my family is too poor to introduce..
i can feel that my mom is crying silently... but she say its ok and giving all sorts of reason to cover them when i asked..

what should i do ..

I'm 25 yrs. old and went out yesterday with a girl from jdate.com who's 24 yrs. old. We had a very nice time and I would like to see her again. We said we would talk in a couple of days and discuss when to meet next. Do I really have to wait? I mean, what gives? I want to call her today and ask her (tongue in cheek and sort of laughingly) "I mean, do I really have to wait to call and talk a little?"
Is that crazy or too pushy? Or, perhaps, since she says she is non-judgemental (lol, right), then is there a chance she would appreciate this?
