If you have good a family who love you and a few good friends, then you're already rich.
After all you can't take money with you.
But if you need a dollar amount the Dems, think a $100,000 a year is rich. Repubs say when you reach the point where you don't have to work (ie the point where your money is generating more money then you need) and don't need the government for anything then your rich.

wow, i would say a FEW millions or billions, you could have alot of money and buy something and then your money is all gone and that is not rich. Rich is where you keep buying really exspensive stuff and still have enough money to do it for years, you never have to ask how much something is or look at the price tag because it does not matter how it costs you have enough.

Enough to have richness for peace of mind and richness of soul. Enough money to sleep peacefully at night and not have money worries. Enough money to enjoy outings whether foreign travel or a trek to a favorite somewhat local setting. Enough to have your physical health tended to. Enough to not be a burden on others around you be it family or society. Enough to be in a state of peace of mind and richness of soul. Going to the ocean enriches my soul and costs nothing.

None--I feel rich with all I have in my life now--a healthy happy son and a husband whom I adore. My home and life are filled with love.

Poverty is below $20,000 per year.
Average American family makes $35,000 per year.
Im guessing rich is $35,000 +($35,000-$20,000) = $50,000 per year.
You could go statistical and say that you need to be in the 90th percentile of American incomes to be rich, or you need to be above one standard deviation from the mean to be rich.

10 years worth of expenses, plus your house has to be owned by you.
If you have 10 years worth of expenses available to you, you are rich.

Depends on who is asking, how much money they have in comparison and whether they expect you to spend any on them.
