I used to write to a girl in England when I was a child, and thought it would be interesting to find out how each other's lives turned out. She could have spelled the last name Oldfield, or Oldsfield, I don't remember, but lived at Knott End On Sea, Blackpool - Lancashire, England. Does anyone know of her or where to reach her now?

I am in a situation where a woman loves me and i love her. but she has kids (between 7&12) and i never saw myself as being a stepfather. I always wanted my own family; not the packaged deal. I know if this becomes permanent problems will occur because she wants me to spend time with them but it is dam near impossible for me to be the person she wants when deep inside i want something different for myself. i've tried to puzzle this out... a friend told me that it was because "they say very naughty things in other languages" and "they talk with a purpose". but then i think, even if the only language they know is english, that accent makes them that much hotter (i know an english gal who could read the dictionary for all i care and i wouldn't be bored... i'm pretty sure i'd enjoy it :P). but WHY does it affect some people like that? what is it about an accent that makes some people even more attractive?

My husband does not know to handle arguments. Though to some extend i try to be calm he gets out of control. He takes it to a point where he ends up banging his head on the wall screaming abuses and weeping. He acts like a child who has no emotional stability. I really cannot depend on him at times. I try to hide things from him due to this.I remember him telling me how badly he was beaten up by his parents when he was young.I understand he has emotional problems but he does not want to see a doctor . I have been patient enough,tried to avoid arguments and even encouraged him to see a counceller.What more should i do to help him?

I have two teenage daughters. They are both very disrespectfull and do not follow the rules of our house. I give them times to be home, they come home when they feel like it. They have been caught drinking and they think it is not a big deal. I have tried several different punishments, NOTHING works. I don't think hitting is the answer!! It seems to me that every single woman that I ever want to date and maybe have a relationship with is already taken by some other bastard. I know its a little cynical but still, it seems impossible to find a girl that I like, cause they all have the qualities that other men want and I'm **** outta luck.
