I'm black. A girlfriend of mine is white (among many of my friends). I happen to walk in on a conversation she was having with a girlfriend... both opposing dating black men. She seemed to try to play it off as merely a "preference" thing, but sounded vehemently opposed to it. I have my preferences as a black man (although no particular ONE over the other or any order), but keep an open mind about who I could be potentially dating. Women's opinion, particularly white women, is this really a "preference" or just flat-out racist. Honest answers would be appreciated. To me, anytime a person is completely written-off because of the color or their skin or anything else, without even being given the benefit of having any "redeeming" qualities as a human being... that's racist. Period. Any opinions?

I live in Southern California and it barely rains at all.To me it is a special time thats filled with excitement.I must admit it feels so soft compared to tap water,so a hot bath just sounds like a good idea.I will boil some water and then soak for a bit in water from the heavens with the one I love most....What do you think???....Tom Science 4

My boyfriend of 2 years is a very very nice guy. Hes also VERY handsome and very wealthy (if that matters somehow). Im a very relaxed girl, but constantly there are girls trying to get him, flirting with him in front of me (including some friends), making up rumors that were going to break up, telling him bad stuff about me, etc....
its getting really annoying..... how do i deal.. i dont want to be all jealous and possesive but i feel if i lay back, something might go wrong..

I love my husband but sometimes I want to have sex with him and sometimes I don't. It's like when I come home from work I want to have sex with him but then he does something that bothers me and it slowly dims...The sad part about it is that what he does is so small that it shouldn't have a part in whether we're going to have sex or not. Hey, looking for quick help here. My step-mother's father passed away last night. I live in Texas, they live in Indiana - should I attempt to attend the funeral? Would it be a major faux pas for me not to attend, and simply send a sympathy card?

I just returned to Texas from Indiana after Thanksgiving. I knew her father, but not really well - he's been in a home for years. My kids look at my step-Mom as a Grandma, and her Mother as a Grandmother figure - she loves my kids, and my kids love her.

What should I do? Should I go up there? Or, should I just send sympathy?

Any help is appreciated. I'm torn here!

I just recently got out of a 3 year relationship. This guy and i had our ups and downs, we fought alot and at one point we couldn't trust each other any more. HE never made time for me only when it was convient for him. At first (the first year) was wonderful. Then after that we were always accusing each other of cheating etc. Well we finally worked it out and he moved in only to move out 3 months later. I say he's not ready to commit. He says that he can't trust me. We finally broke it off totallly 2 weeks ago. He said he never wanted to talk to me ever again and that we could never make it work. I said ok maybe this is for the best. Then just last week hes called and we talked for a while and he kept telling me how much he loved me and missed me and he wanted to try and be friends. I told him i couldnt do that and he said he would call me sometime. Why is he doing this? He is also always been secretive sometimes. I love him to death but i cant do this to myself anymore.

morning and i said yes at the time but i had to call and say i couldn't do it, as i'd finish 3 in morning and be back at work for 8.30 i wouldn't have gotten much sleep and there was no one to watch kids as hubby is working away when i called to tell her she was rather rude as she'd already arrranged the shift round me why do i feel as if she was taking advantage of me as i was doing her a favour so do i apologise to her but tell her i won't work any extra hours.
