She should tell her mum straight, maybe with you there so they both have some support to help keep it calm. I always tell my kids to tell me the truth no matter what or how bad the news is and i will always back them up or help them. I also tell them if they come to me to tell the truth i will not shout or yell. Ill listen to them.. Your mum will feel so much worse if she finds out from someone else . or fInds out after something serious happens ... do the right thing pluck the courage up and spek to her together.
I hope you guys make a the right decission .. good luck

First of all, she is 13 and should not have been drinking. It could become a serious problem. She is now going to have to prove to your mom that she can be trusted again. She might have to change her circle of friends. I wouldn't want my kid hanging out with people who drink or use drugs. Your mom has every right to be mad at her. Your sister needs to straighten out her act and prove to your mom that it won't happen again. Not only did she get drunk, she also lied. It will take a long time for your mom to trust her again.

make her breakfast in bed or buy her some choccies or flowers or do jobs around the house , she should show her that she is willing to change it will take a while to build up the trust again and she should try very hard if she want to regain it I'm sure doing something nice or helping out will start the process off and also to talk to your mum and let her say sorry and that she wont do it again

If she's truly sorry, tell her to go to your mom again and apologize for everything. Tell her that she was so afraid of what the consequences would be for drinking that she ended up lying about it too. She realizes that both were wrong and that she won't do it again. Then she has to go out and prove to your mom that she can trust her again. That will be the real challenge.

I would tell your mom in private. Your sister might grow up and have a drinking problem and that is dangerous. I know that it might be awkward to tell you mom but remember, you are helping your sister. If you don't want to see your sister drunk ever agian tell your mom. You ARE helping your sister nomader how much she gets mad at you. But tell your mom quick before anything else happens.

Saying she is sorry isn't going to fix it.
Taking responsibility and showing her parents that she is trying and maturing is the only thing that will fix this.
Her behavior shows that she still needs her parents to keep the reins tight and control her behavior until she matures more.

she lied because there was no punishment for lying or for drinking, your sister will continue to do bad things as long as your mother lets her get away with it
