I would be curious to hear your reactions to this quote from a current article (called " Dating Is Good for the Soul") by Donna Freitas in Yahoo Personals:

"As with divine love, going out on a date is like an invitation to mystery: the mystery being both the other person, as well as the depths within ourselves we have yet to discover. Dating encourages us to take leaps of faith into the unknown, to invest ourselves, even for a short time, in the idea of a relationship, in opening ourselves up to someone new, and in presenting ourselves in our best form."

And if you agree with Freitas' perspective, then I have a further question. If dating is good for the soul, then might it be it be a good idea for some married people to date (in the context of mutual consent, as in swinging or polyamory)? Or is it always best that married people simply give up this sort of exploration/adventure? Why?

We have been struggling with trying to pay rent for an apartment. I've always had a steady job since I was 16 but he can't keep one for more than 2 months. The bills need to be paid every month! Not whenever he can keep a job. I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm on my own. I love him. But I don't feel that its right to try and change him. Otherwise, how will he become a better man if I do? Help me plz. No matter what I say it doesn't work. I'm so broke providing for us. Help...plz!

In order for my sister to be able to go out with her friends and hang out..she tells my parents thats she's staying with me. There are times where I don't even know she's doing it. Other times she texts me. I want her to stop. She is my sister..so how do I tell her to stop w/o being confrontational?

I've always heard that the "little things" in a relationship were the most important. My husband calls me from work every day during his lunch break, just to say "hi" and "I love you" and ask if I need him to bring anything home after work. What "little thing" does your spouse do that makes you feel special?

If a girl knows you like hers and says to you...?
"whether we become acquaintances, friends or whatever, i won't regret anything", does the whatever mean dating?

I've told an ex how I feel about him and he's adamant that we are never getting back together, I feel like my life has been ripped apart I've only lived for the past 5 years in the hope that one day we could have a romantic reunion and he has broke my heart again.

Why did I let this happen? Don't say an ex is an ex for a reason he is my only reason for living

Why would a man make a child with a woman who's maried to another man, and then leave ?

Is he really a bastard or any man/woman can understand him ?

May he regret later on ?

Ok, so itz been a while since ive came on here. This weekend my hun and i were having a great time. We hung out Friday ALL day..then saturday i had some stuff to do. I ended up at his house Saturday night cuase he wouldnt stop blowing up my phone. IT WAS AWSOME! until he asked me to give him head!..now usually I wouldnt hesitate right!.but he and i are not exclusive.I KNOW he is not seeing anyone else. (he has no time hes with me 24/7) but still i feel like there are certain things you do with someone whom u know is comited to u. i hope im not wrong!. so I said NO! of course and we were horsing around. then he said please and i started laughing ( mind you im the type of girl that laughs a lot when shes nervous) so he turned around and he looked kind of upset. then he takes his pants off!!..i started laughing histerically i mean not at HIM! but just at the situation.

The bride wants to have the ceremony and reception at the same location. There is nowhere for the guests to leave the room to have the area switched over into reception mode.

Guests would arrive and be greeted with a cup of hot spiced cider. Hors d'ouerves passed around by waiters. Then they find their seats for the ceremony. After the ceremony, dinner commences (they will most likely be seated at tables during the ceremony or else chairs quickly moved to the tables following). Then the dancing portion of the reception gets underway.

Would this be too confusing, even with programs? Or would the change be refreshing?

Do you have any suggestions along these lines that may work out better than what is proposed?
