Do you ever lock your child in his room, bathroom, or closet? Which one? and for how long?

My reason asking is because I heard on the radio today that a father was sent to jail for child abuse for locking his 11 year old child in his room all day. The kid obviously told his school and they reported it.

I do lock my child in his room but just for 7 minutes (his age). If I didn't lock it, he'd come out.

my brother is 28 and depends on me and my mom for everything he moved here and lived with my mom from sept untill august my mom put him in an apartment paid rent or a month nd told him to get a job he goes to college part time and is whinning he is going to get evicted ..wont look for a job, goes to her house takes her groceries ..begs for money how can we get him to step up and be a man....?

he doen't have sex with me and if he does its only when he wants it or when we haven't had a fight and everything goes perfectly so he says. he does this while i'm sleeping right next to him or when we had an arguement and i take a shower he watches it. just give me an answer. i feel direspected.

i asked a question 3 weeks ago , if i should be mad about my ex boyfriend.. the answer vote the best was stupid and narrow minded.. Why would make a real man really think that its impossible for a child to grow up in this day and age with only one parent. everyone is intitled to there own opinion but if man / square people in this world really think that a women cant rise a perfect good child then HE is mistaken and has a lot of growing up to do. For beind ever weak man lies a strong independent women. So the question i ask is would you want a weak , shadow of man rising your child?

I stayed in a violent r/ship 4 6yrs,after 3 broken ribs and bust lips and also the cheating i finally got the courage to walk away.Its been 2 yrs now and i'm in a r/ship wiv a guy its been 6mths,he admitted e cheated on his x bcoz the r/ship was ova but neither of them wud leave the home and he was still paying evrything while she paid 4 nothin,he eventually gave up the home and moved out.How do i get past the fear that e will cheat on me n i worry that he could be violent 2wards me?Or am i living in the past?Should i trust my partner who loves me and will do anything 4 me and my 3 children

My gf and I met at work (a fairly nice restaurant) where she had worked since it opened, @ 4 yrs. I have been there for almost 2 yrs now. We both have other jobs, she has her degree, I am close to getting mine. I knew she was thinking about leaving and the other day I told her I was having thoughts of leaving, too. The very next day she just called in and quit (granted there was a little workplace drama re. her and me).

My other job is only part-time now, but it is going to be what I do once I'm done w/ school. Her job now is full time and she does alright, but it isn't what she wants to do (she has said as much). Our relationship is going well. I am just wondering why you think she quit. The decision wasn't spontaneous but the action was. I really want to know if she is now waiting for me to quit, too, or if she did it so I wouldn't have to just yet. With the holidays coming soon, I stand to make some good money if I stay. Suggestions?

From the responces for my last question I now wonder...How do I know if I'm doing things just to please him or if I honestly want to do them?
