My gf and I met at work (a fairly nice restaurant) where she had worked since it opened, @ 4 yrs. I have been there for almost 2 yrs now. We both have other jobs, she has her degree, I am close to getting mine. I knew she was thinking about leaving and the other day I told her I was having thoughts of leaving, too. The very next day she just called in and quit (granted there was a little workplace drama re. her and me).
My other job is only part-time now, but it is going to be what I do once I'm done w/ school. Her job now is full time and she does alright, but it isn't what she wants to do (she has said as much). Our relationship is going well. I am just wondering why you think she quit. The decision wasn't spontaneous but the action was. I really want to know if she is now waiting for me to quit, too, or if she did it so I wouldn't have to just yet. With the holidays coming soon, I stand to make some good money if I stay. Suggestions?

maybe talking about quitting made her want to do it like now..she could have been thinking about it and decided that she doesn't need the job. I would ask her why so sudden? If I were you I would stay..I don't think you have a good reason to quit.
