Don't allow yourself to be shy just act like yourself like you do around your friends then that will show him that you don't have to put on a front when you are with him or around him. . .Just joke around and be friends and th en start hinting to him that you might just want more than to be his friend

it's something that you can't just get over,I wish we could,I'm the same way but because I have social anxiety and are self conscience but if your not either of these and are just having trouble talking try rehearsing what you will say the next time your around that person,I know it sounds stupid but I have done that before and it worked and it led to a long conversation that I had already planned out in my head lol but it works,sometimes thats the only way for me to talk to people.lol great now everyone will think I'm crazy,try it.

Have you investigated if he/she likes you too. The main reason for being shy can be non assurance of mutual admiration and this pushes you loose confidence in your self. Talk to the person and know his/her feelings and i believe you will regain confidence with this infomation.

Well...for public speaking they say to picture your audience naked. That way your mind establishes yourself as sort of superior in stature to them, plus it puts a humorous spin on the situation. That might work in the case you are speaking about, too.

Just talk about anything, not boring stuff though, once you get to know the person better, you'll fell more confident and be able to tell her more easily.

Look at their nose or mouth. Do not ever look at them in their eyes or you'll stutter.

pretend like she/he is the same sex with you.Like if you are a girl,talk to him like you talk to your sister or your girl friend.
