I dated my brothers best friend for a few years,we lived together,I caught him cheating,it has been a rough year,i left him.he still is trying to get me back.I ran into one of their friends bout 7months ago and we really hit it off,i was still bitter about the cheating,he listend and understood,he drove me home that night and i invited him to stay,I asked him to sleep in the bed with me,I asked him to put his arm around me,he did till i slept and was a complete gentleman.The next morning things were awkward when he left,a mutual friend told me he liked me but is freaked abouth my ex.I saw him once since then and he came to me and said"your killing me"my ex was there so we had to keep quiet.I have though about him since.There is this yearly party coming up and they both will be there,I dont mind being around my ex,im over him.I want to go in hopes of talking to this other guy again,but he rsvp'd for himself plus a guest,im assuming he has a date he is bringing,what would you do?Still go

I found out today that my dad might have cancer. I am only 24. I had sent my boyfriend of 7 years a text message saying that my dad might have cancer. He called me back & asked when/how I found out. We really didn't talk about it past that b/c I didn't want to get emotional over the phone. He has called me a couple of times today to talk about other stuff, & I have been a little short/impatient with him b/c I am upset. I cancelled our date for tongiht. He is taking it all as me being angry at him. Why is he being so insensitive? No, I haven't told him yet how I feel - I usually prefer to deal with things like this on my own. No, he might not realize that if my dad is diagnosed, he will likely die - I can't talk to him about this right now, I'm too upset. At the end of our last conversation, he said "I'm just going to leave you alone for while" We hung up kind of abruptly. Yes, I'm making him read between the lines, which he is failing to do miserably..I'm just so depressed..

My family is very close-knit... so close you would probably think we were abnormal. anyway, my mother and i have always had a great relationship... until this year. my mother won't let me move away from her (i can't be more than 30 minutes away), i can't spend any holiday's with my boyfriend (my soon-to-be fiance) or his family, my boyfriend isn't good enough for me, i can't get engaged until my boyfriend has a big career, my boyfriend's family isn't "good enough", my boyfriend is the cause of me chanigng... nothing is good enoough! i am on this chain and if i want to break lose, all hell will break through. my mother has even brought my father into this and turned him on me... i am alone and i am being broken down... i can't do anything i want... i am always accussed of "pushing my family aside' and 'forgetting my family' , which im not! i'm just trying to start my OWN life! i can't take much more!

I was in Las Vegas for a business trip about a month ago and partook in the local lady action. Just my luck, I got herpes. I made my ex boyfriend quit cigarettes for me, only to have me occassionally smoke them now...the irony.
I am very attracted to the bad boy image, but as I go to an Ivy League uni, it's hard to find guys like that since many are nerdy preps. I go for the "tortured" image so to speak, or guys with issues. They intrigue me.

Is this weird? I'm almost going to graduate from college, so I'd think I'd be over it by now.

I have been with this guy for 2 and a half years...we are both 19, we got an apartment together about a year ago. We have had a few break ups but none that lasted over 2 months. I am 8 and a half months pregnant and he broke up with me for good like 3 weeks ago, because i kept comlaining about him always partying and not being home with me , and just him hanging out with his friends in general. So now i am back home at my moms, i love him so much he is my first love, and i dont know how to live with out him, and be a good mom. i got back together with someone i dated in high school that i truly cherish. weve been together for a while now and were starting to talk about marriage and stuff and he bought me a ring he hasn't proposed yet but thats cuz the rings in layaway right now. he wants to be a preacher and to be his wife i would have to change my whole self. i mean i can't drink anything but wine and only every once in a while and i like to drink. we both smoke but he says we don't have to give that up but i can't cuss or listen to the music that i like which is stuff like eminem and icp. is this fair? if he loves me shouldn't he love me exactly the way i am? should he try to change me just because of his ambitions and dreams? or am i wrong and should change cuz i love him?

there is this guy and i dont know if he likes me
my friend says he does but i don tknow
he flirts alot but he does some flirting with other girls
but whenever he can he walks with me and sits by me
and also talks to me
but he doesnt at lunch

his friends somehow "found out" about me liking him
and i didnt tell anyone who i didnt trust

they teased me about it and then i just blew up and cussed at them
but they still did it

im wondering if they did it cause:
-they actually knew i liked him
