Bring her a cute little braclet or something cute and creative, you can get a neat gift at Claire's for under ten bucks, maybe five. Yeah, when you first see her tell her she looks nice, and then everything should flow from there. Hold open the doors, be a gentleman.

Nix the jewelry, it's a first date. You may scare her.
Flowers are nice. My own opinion here...Roses have become plain and ordinary. How about a nice bouquet of beautifully colored flowers?
Most dates include a movie..in fact, it's so common, she's probably expecting it.
First dates need conversation, not silence in the dark. You need a comfortable, social setting to get to know each other. Not knowing what you guys like, your gonna have to think that one out. Examples: bowling, ice cream, walk in the park, skating, and on and on. That's my own likings, but hope it helps.

give her a red rose, but BEWARE OF THE THORNS. on my sister's first date she cut herself badly with a thorn of a rose that her date had given her. they ended up laughing about it, and they're still together now, but obviously you wouldn't want to purposely cut her, lol.
take her somewhere fun, too lovey dovey on a first date might make things awkward. you should try to get to know each toher more before trying to get all romantic. i say the movies.....
