I'm dating a guy who has kids at first I thought I accepted them now it bothers me. I never dated someone w/ kids. I know they come first and I would never ask that he deny them. He's sweet, caring, takes care of me, thougthful, something I've never had before, but nothing is perfect without having a flaw. I don't have kids of my own. People say I shouldn't be w/ someone that has a "ready made family" because I'm young to deal w/ that responsibility. I'm 22 he's 27. his son is 8yrs and his daughter 5yrs. What should I do?

we don't seem to be getting along for a long time now. He is the most beautiful person as far as gentle, sweet, patient helps out around the house like no other. But we are having disagreements about the kids he has 2 I have 1 and we don't agree on issues, this is so hard for me because I love him but it's gotten more complecated since the kids are teens and almost teens. The e-mail basically said things need to get better or I want out. But I don't truly want out. Yikes!

[previous question]

Reccently I have found out about my brother's ongoing abuse (if you have payed attention, you will know.) Yes, my mother knows - she hasn't done anything to my father yet - not even confronted him. I am 17, my brother is 16. I spied his journal (I know I know) and I read the last entry (ok, so a couple more aswell), and he's thinking about running away because Mom's done nothing to stop it. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

here's the scenario: When you open the door it's very nauseating. They have about 4-5 dogs and probably 8-10 cats ALL IN THE HOUSE! The Mom drinks a lot. The Mom allows a 21-yr old friend to come and play! (a boy).

I'v stopped allowing my girls to go over and play there. I don't mind if the girl comes to my house to play. It's not her fault.

Am I being over cautious? I worry about bacteria!

What does everyone think about bringing a ballon to school for potty training a 2 year old. I think I 've got a strategy here. I'm thinking about bringing her one anyway when I pick her up on her birthday (this Wed 8/30), and well how about, (making association with positive reinforcement, and positive things, such as birthdays) I bring one on the day when she pottytrains and have them give it to her. This would maybe be the same day or second day when I bring the pull ups there? What does everyone think? Will she expect a balloon every time or is this a good idea? Could it also be helful that the other kids see her getting a balloon, and balloons could be given out whenever a kid pottytrains. It should be easy to help train younger kids? I had a small yellow balloon with a happy face in mind for the potty training, and A big pretty Happy Birthday! balloon for her birthday.

My best friend is moving away within a month. She recently broke up with her boyfriend, and today she put in her two weeks notice at work. What's more, I'm in love with her. I told her this recently, though we're still just good friends. Doesn't look like that's going to change, but I want to give her something to remember me by. I was thinking something like a promise ring or a pendant, though I know next to nothing when it comes to jewelry. I was also thinking maybe something with her birthstone, which is the emerald. So, would anyone out there care to give me any suggestions or reccomendations on the perfect gift for the woman I love? Specifically any advice on where to look? I'll try to keep in touch with her, though odds are I'll never see her again. And I want her to know I will always love her. And that I'll always be there for her. I love her, and I don't want her to forget me. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

My mom works two parttime jobs and has weekends off. She doesn't go to school and would make good money without the second job she has the next town over. Without even considering to rearrange her own scedule, she EXPECTS me to arrange MY schedule of work, college, and studying time, and free time around picking up my sister from school in the frickin middle of the afternoon! Also, I am expected to cook my picky sister whatever food she may want and if I don't make it quickly enough she tells me I'm "too slow". I feel like her abused surrogate mother! I get so irriated with my mom and sister I'm ready to knock one of them out. I've talked to them about the situation but they don't seem to give a flying s*** and think I'm being an inconsiderate, selfish sister/daughter. All of my friends thinks its unfair but my family believes its fair because I should be willing to help out when i dont pay rent or bills at home. Am I being selfish? Please enlighten me.

I recently got rejected by the girl i liked, and it really got me down. She said that she liked me at one point but was interested in someone else.

Ever since i have lost my touch with some conversation starters with girls, and knowing how to read them. So what i want to know for you girls, is what are the requirments for you to say yes to a guy who asked you out

I have friends who tell me that they've been talking to so and so all the time on the net. They've never met but they act like they're in love. I just don't see how this could happen. I know a few families who were broke up because of an online romance, and then the online romance didn't last a year after the family split up. Can it be true that sometimes you could meet an online friend that really becomes your best friend (no sex talk) and that it could really lead to an actual true romance? I hate being such a cynic but in todays world, it just seems right to be cynicall. I am 45, married to a man for nearly 31 years (yes, i got married when i was 14). Our children are grown. We rarely talk. We have seperate interests, and we haven't had sex in nearly a year. We sleep in seperate rooms. I like my husband, I even love him, in a brotherly or fatherly kind of way. I mean, he taught me to drive, and signed for me to get my licence. Where do you find true love at my age???
