Leo is the name of the cut of the diamond. Different diamond cutters have developed techniques to add more shapes and/or facets to the ring during the cutting process.
A Leo Diamond has 66 facets, each cut to precision. A man named Leo Schachter developed the process over a 3 year period, and each diamond is issued a id number.
There are plenty of other fantastic stones out there if you are in the market for one. For something like this, you are paying for the name in addition to the stone. Any certified diamond will have the report that tells you all the information about the 4 C's.

A Leo diamond is a brand name. The jeweler (I don't remember his full name) developed a technique that puts tons more facets in the cut of the diamond. Facets are basically the different places the diamond is cut in, and they reflect the light. Because there are more diamonds, more light is reflected, so the diamond looks more brilliant. It is also a lot more expensive.

You should never buy an engagement ring at a store whose name ends in Mart or is located in a mall. You want to find a really independent jeweler who has a really good reputation.
