do you think people at the age of 12 can fall in love? my mom laughs at me cuz i tell her i love my boyfriend. i really think i do but since people thinks its sorta impossible its making me think im not in love. i know its not SERIOUS love. and its not anywhere to comparing to couples that are married and stuff. but i just need to know, is it impossible to fall in love at the age of 12?

"Falling in love" before knowing oneself si self-destructive..
The brain needs to develop and "mature"(although I dislike that word) in order to know what it wants..
I have no doubts that you like him and miss him.. But there's time for that later..
Many people forget to experience life because they're so desperate to find a mate (fear of loneliness)

Love. What exactly is it? How do you know you're "in love" and not just infatuated or curious or something? You say yourself that you know it's not SERIOUS love, and true love IS serious, so you admit you're not really in love you're just "testing the waters". Therefore, draw some lines. You're probably just about old enough to get pregnant and so how would you like to be 13 with a kid? If you think that's a great idea (some people can't wait to have kids) GUESS AGAIN. There are different kinds of LOVE I suppose - you are very fond of this guy, he makes you laugh maybe and it feels good to be around him. He understands you perhaps, or maybe he's just a slick guy who says the right things - these types do exist. How old is he by the way? Is he "too old" for you by any chance?

You can fall in love when your 12 I believe its sort-of like other cultures they marry girls at 12. So age 12 Its when our hearts are pure and full of first love. I want to think that when your twelve the girl has most of the feelings of love for the boy but the boy just wants to say hes got a girlfriend and give a kiss on cheek to her,see her at school. Its possible to fall in love but with the right one some people don't find the right one tell there in there late teens to there thirty's.

Yes, it's possible to fall in love at 12. And you might be...but do you trust him with your heart, mind, body and soul? Do you respect him and his feelings, his likes and dislikes, his other relationships with people? Do you see yourself together in the long run? How about right now - can you even THINK about dating another guy, or is he the only one in your life? Do you flirt with other boys just cause? Does he feel the same way? Do you doubt anything he does...or are you afraid to be yourself with him? How about lying...or do you always tell the truth, knowing that even if you've done something wrong, he'll forgive you?
That is what love is all about.
Love takes time...and the only type of love IS the serious type. I fell in love at 12...and I knew I was going to spend my life with him...and 6 years later, we are getting married. We knew from day one that it was the real deal, soulmates forever thing. The fact that you say its not serious or anything means that it might just be infatuation...falling in love with love. Give it awhile...the more you know each other, the more likely it is that its love. Remember, love is trust, respect, commitment and honesty all rolled into one word.
Remember that next time you say 'I Love You'.

just to say nothing is impossible...but it is kind of hard for some people to believe that at the age of 12 someone can be in love..me on the other hand you will know when you really love someone..i fell in love at the age of 14! not much difference there..and i know at young ages you always say i love you to your boyfriends for some reason that seems like the thing you should do, but its all up to you...don't let people start telling you when you love someone or when you don't cause you could end up with someone you don't really love and not have a happy life! and i have to say good for you for saying you know its not SERIOUS love, you just know you have strong feelings for your boyfriend and their really isn't a word to explain that.

I think it's possible to have love at 12. You are learning that there is different types of love in the world. You are learning that you can love your parents you dog your best friend and yes a boyfriend. It's not gonna be the same type of love you'll feel in a couple of years for a boyfriend but yes it's a kind of love.

It is a type of love. I hope it is mostly based on friendship. I hope, also, that this relationship will help show you how to love and be loved later in your more mature relationships.
I had a childhood sweetheart from the ages of about 10 to 13. I loved him, and it was completely pure.
On a side note, I think our culture sexualities love too much. For us Americans if you love someone out side your family, it's something to do with sex.

hey chica? This is monique girl im in that situation im 13 i turned 13 in june. anywayz! I think i love my bf michael though i cant tell my mom that cause then she will just laugh. I do actually think i love him, it depends. I think me and u r the same? Anywayz! I think i just like him alot. K look this is what i found out. if u love your bf or u think u do, u do!!! you will end up liking or should i say lovin another boy when u grow up. when your at the ages 12 and up u start lovin a little more at boys. Though grown ups get married cause they love eachother they love eachother b-cause when u get more older the more u start feelin the love connection. since u r 12 and im 13 we are barely experiencing love so its just a little bit of love we feel. in other words, we cant really love a boy at our ages until we grow up more. We will think we love our bf, but the truth is that we do just a little not alot though it aint real love its a little bit of love! k!!! Though girl if u tell your bf i love u whenever he saids i love you, dont go tell him i love you too but only a little lol k! or when he asks how much do u love me dont say just a little. lol.! k! Its not impossible, but most people don't fall in love when they're 12. You might not want to hear this but, most likely, you and your boyfriend now aren't going to last that long. I'm sorry but I'm just telling you what I think.

It is probably what everyone calls "puppy love". These crushes, or little loves as I like to call them, are prepping you for real love when you are older. It is all a part of growing up, but to be honest with you, I nor anyone else can fairly judge what emotions you are feeling. They are your emotions and valid because of that. I would ask that you be careful and not do anything you might regret. You are young with a long and beautiful life ahead of you.
