Though most married couples are proud and appreciative of the wedding gifts they receive from family and friends but there are some gifts that makes you go Mmmm. Did you receive a gift that you wasn't pleased with? You wanted to give it back to the person but instead kept the gift and wondering what you are going to do with it. I posed this question because we received a wedding gift (picture frame) that was old and looked like it was sitting in someone's attic for quite sometime. The frame (that used to be gold) paint was chipping off and the box that it was placed in looked as if it was sitting in the sun for a while. I was in shock because I would have appreciated a card instead. What about you ladies that received a wedding gift that you didn't like.

My friends mom is 55 and her husband cheated on her. He said she wasnt intimate enough after she survived cancer. He seems really selfish to the point where he doesnt even let her pick the car she likes to drive. He thinks he should come first before her children from her other mariges and gets angry and treats them bad if she shows them more attention then him.

She was going to leave but decided to work it out, but I think she is just scared to be alone.

Should I tell her to split or mind my own business?

I've talked to this guy seriously on the phone about twice (1-2 hours), we have talked every other week for the past 3 weeks. Now, he asked me when we would go out, I said sometime this week...he said ok call me when you have time.....now, do I call him or do I keep him guessing? I'm trying a different strategy since I'm usually aggressive....so I'm thinking of having him call me...GUYS what do you think?

Thanks for all the answers to my previous question - some real good ones. I was just wondering. So thanks guys first of all.
What I really have a dilemma with is this.
I split up with my ex about two years ago, his best friend, who I really got on with and who I "clicked" with broke contact.
I know his older sister, who is one of my bestest mates and I go to see her every week, but we all recently went on holiday together - him, his sister and her boyfriend, me and another couple. I hadn't seen him since me and my ex split and we talked for ages - and now I can't get him out of my head. He has no idea and neither does his sister. He told me that him and my ex don't see eachother as often anymore, and that my ex has got a new girlfriend, but i'd really like something to happen, but i'm just really scared incase it messes everything up, I wouldn't even know where to start. Ive asked him to go for a drink and he says we will soon - so plz help!

I have this friend who just seems to copy me a lot. I am not likke really cool or whatever it's kinda weird. I bought these pants and she bought them right after me, i bought some gauchos and she said she didnt like them then went and bought them, and i bought this new vera bradley style and she bought it too!!! it's everything. I worked hard to get my own since of style and she copies it. And hers isnt even that great. i want to tell her politly but i dont know how. I am 19 years old. I have had my share of relationships, short and long-term. I am currently dating a 40 year old man. My girlfriends think I am crazy. My mother and father are worried that I am ruining my life by being with him. He has been married and divorced. He has 4 children, two of which are older than me. Those two are step-kids. His other two are age 17 and 14. They are not excited about the dating but they pretty much accept it. The 14 year old more than the 17 year old. I guess my question is should I break things off with him because of the age difference? We have been dating since June 26th, 2006 and living together since the middle of July. We have already discussed marriage and having having children together. Everything is moving very quickly which wouId normally be scary for me becuase I am so young but with him everything just seems right. Without knowing the two of us personally it is hard to judge but please try to look at it from all sides and give me some advice.

My boyfriend use to be all about me. I love him and he lives with me doesn't pay rent . He doesnt work so I support him but I care about him... He hangs out with his friends so I call to see how things are and they say "whos this?" Its been 2yrs...shouldn't they know..his brothers do it too. I have a friend. i could say shes my bf but i wont say that because its not really true. I do now her for over 15 years. We grew up together and even thought we moved away we always kept in touch. Once we were in H.S we were always 2gether for our 3 ears if high school. Almost at the end of our 3rd year she started going out with her bf and kind we stop talking to each other. We will always ealk together but she will always be with him. Inever liked him and thats because he hit her infrint of people. she always defended him and i will always get mad at er because she will always do this. The reson why we stop talking was becauese he did not like me cause i will always tell her to tell her parents of what he did to her. when we stared our sineor year we were always together because he graduated. Before graduating she got pregnent by him and know she is 6 months. I was talking to her earlier and she still being abused by him i was telling her 2 leave him. Was i doing d right thing?

I've been thinking lately thats I'm a very different guy than I was 7 years ago, when I was 21 I was more cheerful, talkative, friendly, active, hopeful and less grumpy. Right now Im not that cheerful, talkative, friendly, active, hopeful and Im grumpier..I think.

The thing is, have any of you changed your personality in the last 5-7 years in many aspects?

Im in my late 20's and I dont know If thats an influence in my behavior right now..
