My friends mom is 55 and her husband cheated on her. He said she wasnt intimate enough after she survived cancer. He seems really selfish to the point where he doesnt even let her pick the car she likes to drive. He thinks he should come first before her children from her other mariges and gets angry and treats them bad if she shows them more attention then him.

She was going to leave but decided to work it out, but I think she is just scared to be alone.

Should I tell her to split or mind my own business?

Guy sounds like he has mental issues... If she asks you for advice or your opinion be honest.

If she weighs her options and decides that living with an ******** and submitting to his sexual desires and chooses him over her children then I think that sums up exactly what shes all about.

Normally I would stay out of it, but since this is her 3rd marriage, it may be time for you to step in, give her some reassurance, and show her that she deserves much more than what this guy is offering. I wouldn't worry about it pissin him off either, sounds like he doesn't care about your feelings so turn about is fair play in this one.

I also agree with your line of thinking that mom just doesn't want to be alone. It happens to alot of people. Especially around her age. Think about it, put yourself in her shoes. You are on hubby number three, you've survived cancer, had grown children and retirement is just around the corner. Not only is she worried about what society is thinking, but she's being reasonable in thinking that she may never find Mr. Right, so she's settling for Mr. right now. This kind of man weighs down your self esteem and she may simply not have it in her anymore. It's going to be a long hard battle to get your mom to see otherwise, but if you love her enough, you'll find the strength and see her through it. Just remember, it's not fair to voice your opinion and walk away...the minute you decide to open your mouth, is the minute you decide to get involved and help her. She's going to need you in this more than you know.

Tell her to kick him out of the house,so at least she can have a home for her and the Children. BUT she should not take his abuse and if she can't kick him out then she should have a restraining order against him. If that doesn't work she has no other altenative but to leave. If she is sick then she needs a place to live. Kick the dirty dog to the street and tell her not to take him back, because he will just do it again and again. Probably , she feels she needs his financial support and doesn't know what else to do . She needs moral support and it is good that your helping her. Good Luck. Tak eecare and may God bless you, Always,.

Mind your own business. The reason why is if she does leave and has a hard time making it then she might blame u. Other reason is she is your friends mom and u don't really have the right to state your opinion. She is older then u and not really your friend plus she might feel werid haveing u give her advise after all u are younger.

Wow that sounds like a pretty bad problem. I think your mom should divorce him. I think you shouldn't try to split them up yourself, but i think you should tell your mom what you think of the man she married. I hope your mom finds the right person. Someone who isnt selfish and loves her and her kids no matter who the father. Good luck!

MYOB! She is being abused and isolated. I was married to a control freak guy like that and eventually left. At her age it is going to be really hard to get her life back together so maybe she is too broken and old to start over and will just accept it.

Your mom needs to decide if she is OK with her husband getting pleasure somewhere else and then bringing some dirty whores STDs back to share.

Stay out of this! All you will do is look bad!

This is not your place. It is a family matter. She has to make her own decisions.
