Family & Relationships - 21 August 2006

I am graduating in Dec. with a degree in Elem. Ed. I really like kids, I KNOW I could be a good teacher, have had tons of experience, and have spent the past 5 yrs of my life working for it. However, I don't know if it's what I want to do at THIS time in my life. AHH!!!

My fiance and I are getting married next year and his job will easily support us. Don't get me wrong, I WANT to work, I just don't know if teaching is right for me at this point in my life. I have thought about doing something with weddings, but I haven't had any experience at it, other than planning my own.

My mom is a teacher (the biggest reason that I decided to become one). I don't want to disappoint my family because they have thought I was going to be a teacher all along, but I do want to do what's right for me in my life.

I feel like I'm back to freshman year, not knowing what I want to do. How do I decide what's right for me? Anyone ever experienced anything similar?

Stories would be great!!

That Day

I will never forget that day,

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 2 years. We have been best friends for 5 years. We have been trying to have a baby for 6 months but we have made no progress. About 5 days ago he broke up with me because lately thats all I think about. I respect his reason for breaking up with me but he owes he $200 and I am deeply in love with him. i want to make this special for my boyfriend. its coming up on the anniversary hes a soccer player. we're all for doing it in crazy places. in the up coming months my closest friend in town will be moving away. for reasons i do not agree with, i've expressed how i feel towards her, and my thoughts on her leaving. In turn the friendship that we shared has become sour, and is filled with nothing but akward moments of silence. I've asked her for a conversation on how to work it out, but she has declined everytime. The sheer thought of her leaving is that of a knife going right through ones heart. ok there was this girl in high school. best friends for about 3 years but honestly i was definitly in love with her. then we started dating. it was really slow, we're both unexperienced, and we were friends for so long so we just held hands and kissed and went on dates and stuff. She was the innocent christian girl type, so i didnt want to pressure her into anything. after about 3 weeks she broke up with me and would never tell me why. I'm like 99% sure she A. Got bored because i didnt make a move, or B. Just liked another guy. If your wife leaves you and files for divorce how much does it usually cost her? what does the husband have to pay if he wants nothing to do with the divorce and does not fight it?
What if you dont have the $$ to pay for it since your wife left you to pay for everything you guys had together on your own? Do you still have to come up with the $$?

How do I help my fiance control his temper so he wont end up in trouble? Its like I try to tell him what can happen if he do something crazy to someone. I always tell him that its some people out there in this world more crazier than you..As far as I go he doesnt threaten me or anything. Its just towards other people he does that to. He is a smart guy as far as school and knowing his responsibilites. But when he gets angry its like to the point that he could shoot some one and it is scary to me because he has a good future ahead of him even if he with me or not , and he has 2 nieces and one nephew that just loves him to death. I love him very much too and I want us to have the future together that we been dreaming about and I want him to be there for his nieces and nephews because they look up to him a lot and he very well knows this but its going to be one day at the wrong time that his temper is not going to pay off for him and i dont know how to reach out to him.

The same guy that i talked about feeling like we are falling away. The only time that i feel really close to him is right after sex and that not a lot. I mean how do I break up with someone that was your first for everything? I still think that i have feelings for him.
1.talks to me (then maked up an excuse to leave)
