If your wife leaves you and files for divorce how much does it usually cost her? what does the husband have to pay if he wants nothing to do with the divorce and does not fight it?
What if you dont have the $$ to pay for it since your wife left you to pay for everything you guys had together on your own? Do you still have to come up with the $$?

If my wife is the on insisting on the divorce do I HAVE to get a divorce attouney? I really cant afford one after the way she left me...

depending on the state, whomever files first pays the filing fee,that is if you do it yourself,if you use attorney, then you pay him to do all the paperwork and if she doesn't work you are *** out, if she works...then YOU file first , you become the plaintiff, she answers to your allegations and you sue for alimony or atleast half of what she cost you!!!

I thought the Person filing for the divorce had to pay the attorny fees...

No, you do not have to pay for anything, if she filed. You don't have to have an attorney, either. I didn't pay for anything in my divorce. I let him file and hire his attorney, and I didn't pay anything. Unless you have property or kids ... then you do need a lawyer.

Cost me like $127 to file. It was all over in a week. I live in Utah.

These kinds of situations are hard. I would suggest get an attorney and ask them for their legal advice on it.

Call a lawyer, most if not all of them give a free talking the first time.
