Do you guys consider flirting to be cheating?

2006-08-21 18:05:40 · 18 answers · asked by Anonymous in Family & Relationships Singles & Dating

Cuz last night, I was talking to my boyfriend...and he asked me this...and when I said I didn't consider it cheating...he was surprised...but I was like, it depends on if you know your limits...and he asked what mine were and I was like, "Well, if they were to come up to me and say hi, then I'd be like, 'hey.' But if they were to try to get fresh...and get to close or try an get my number that'd be a bit much..." And he was like, "Ok..." And then I asked him...and he said he did....because it would lead to other things...But then I was like, "I love you, and you have my word, nothing is going to happen." By the way...he just started college...I'm barely a senior...And thats why the topic came up...since he is going away or whatever...

No.......I as a guy wouldn't consider "flirting" to be cheating . However, i am a firm believer in the saying : "do unto other's ...only as you would have them do unto you". If you can't take it ...then don't give it .

Flirting to me is just another form of keeping one's self-esteem in-tact.. and i have no prob with that . Just don't over-do-it ! And get your rump home on-time . lol

Depends...
Does it bother your boyfriend? Some guys it's no big deal, some guys it hurts. There are always guys who think...Hell, she's flirting with me right in front of her boyfriend...she must not care for him too much...I think I'll hit on her a little when he's not around.
Also, would it bother you if he flirted with other girls? Hope you're not a hypocrite...

No but it could lead to more than just flirting which is cheating. It is also disrespectful.
