A map and an article to help you understand, why America needs to do something about this poison. America should be taking the lead on this issue, but the people are so undereducated and ignorant to the facts.

This is what happens when a scientific theory is on its death bed. The political forces empowered by it begin to push back and make completely unwarranted and scientifically unsupportable claims.

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20071118/D8SVRO100.html

A number of peer-reviewed papers were published in 2007 showing that the climate is not as sensitive to climate change as we once thought and that global warming will not be catastrophic. Instead of dealing with the science. they just come out with more claims of coming doom.

It is amusing that the Bush Administration finally began to support global warming theory just as the science indicates it will not be catastrophic.

Everyday, when I wake up, I look outside. I love the outdoors. But then, I think of what it will look like 30 years later. Will it stilll be the same?? Will the sky still be sunny and bright?? Will the ground still be able to produce flowers, weeds and trees?? Will the great mountains out west still be towering over us? Sadly, the answer to most of these delicate questions is no.
We have to do something!! Stop idiling your car! Recycle! Reuse! Turn off unnecessary things that are using up precious electricity! Wear an extra layer instead of cranking up the heat! Have shorter showers. Walk to some places instead of driving or the next car you buy-try and get a power efficient one. Use better lightbulbs.
If we all work together we can all end global warming! Don't you want your childrens' childrens' childrens' children to enjoy the same breathtaking views, clear blue water and uncharted islands as we all do now?! Please do your part. If a 15 year old can, then so can you.

In true science, debate is welcomed as a way to see flaws in a theory, and to find a way to correct those flaws, thus bettering the theory. But what we're seeing today about the so-called "theory" of anthropogenic global warming is that the alarmists are hushing up any dissenters, and claiming that there is no debate. In my opinion, that is proof that this is no longer science. It's politics.

This is an outrage and disgrace and I cannot understand if the population of humpback whales is recovering, why would there now be a "scientific whale hunt" to once again jeopardize the population!
It amazes me as to the brutality of these Japanese whalers, and how sad it is that people continue their cruelty to these beautiful creatures.
There is no need for the Japanese to hunt whales. Starvation or ancient native sustenance are not issues.
If the Japanese claim tradition, then they should whale from traditional vessels and row or sail their butts out into the ocean.
Whales are higher mammals that deserve the respect of humans as beings in their own right.

Sorry I do not usually rant on like this and I am not a greenpeace tree hugging soul, but it just makes my blood boil when they say it is for scientific reasons and the real reason is they want to carry on a tradition that was stopped nearly 40 years ago.
If you feel as strong as I do about it then I suggest you boycott all Japanese trade goods and make it known that that you are doing this and the reasons why.

The media has been quick to claim that global warming on Mars is caused by darkening of the planet. Nobody wants to mention that this darkening has only been estimated to account for 5 x 10^12 kg or 30% of the total observed loss of ice. Contrary to what the media is reporting, the findings are consistant with warming caused by an increase in solar intensity.

Here's a section from a research paper presented at the USRA.

"The estimated increase in south polar mass loss from the IRTM to the TES albedo model runs is ~5x1012 kg, or ~0.02% of the total martian atmos-phere. This represents a ~3% increase in potential mass loss from the IRTM to the TES model runs. Pre-vious estimates of summertime CO2 mass loss, based on observations of scarp retreat, range from 8.4x1012 kg [7] to 2-4x1013 kg [4]. Our predicted in-crease is of the same order of magnitude as these estimates, albeit on the low side."

Global warming will be reduced if we use less petrol/diesel/paraffin;and plastic bags. These are all end or bye products of oil refinery. If they were not used by us and contributing to the Tax Revenue the products would be burned off releasing more carbon into the atmosphere causing global warming. How can we say therefore that a reduction in the use of these products will help to reduce global warming?

BOYCOTT JAPAN. Thier perverse and mindless "scientific" whaling HOAX is continuing unabated. They do "finning", where the top fin of sharks is sliced off, and the rest of the shark is thrown in the ocean to die. They just finished slaughtering countless MINKE WHALES.
They trap and slice the throats of dolphins.
BARBARIC and UN-EVOLVED behavior.
Will YOU help by boycotting any and all products from JAPAN?
Cars, electronics, EVERYTHING.
Please make your voice heard and stop this sub-human behavior before they kill our oceans.

What madness are we witnessing with the resumption of whaling by the Japanese, under the guise of scientific research! Commercial exploitation, more like it!!
What can we do to show our distaste for this barbaric practice!?

I need to compare mean temperatures for a statistics project (topic is global warming). I need to compare a mean temperature for a decade about 40 years ago (lets say 1966-1976) to a present decade (1996-2006). Monthly averages would be helpful also, but I mainly need a ten-year average for any specific city to determine whether "global warming" has effected that area. Then I must use the data I find and conduct proper hypothesis tests (which i will figure out later!) but now I just need a temperature site?

When some of the suns rays are trapped within the Earth’s atmosphere, this heats up the air, causing the air to be much hotter and more polluted than usual.
The sun is constantly raising its temperature, so the air is getting more and more polluted as the greenhouse gases and Co2 are also trapped within the atmosphere.

Answers greatly appreciated and suggestions even more appreciated.
