Increases in tax are pretty much a given for tackeling CO2 emissions.

If it were free, there would be no point talking about it - we'd just do it and wouldn't care if it was required or not.

The government could implement a carbon tax (as the IPCC is suggesting), or they could undertake some programs to improve efficiency. This would suit the government because the companies they employ to implement these solutions can return the favour with campaign contributions.

Global warming is just a small part of the damage that humans have made on the nature. The sad thing is a lot of damages we have made is hidden and not everybody knows about for instance destroying a hector of a forest means a lot of damge to the nature, all the wastes we make, all speices we kill...the point is its not only about CO2 we damage the nature in many other ways.
About taxes, if you live in america, its most likely that you are right. American government can do whatever for money that is as fact as say 2+2=4

I tell you what, im willing to give the government £100 extra a year or any other private company to tackle the global warming issue and give us some green fuels.

If only they got of their lazy asses and started to make it a priority. I think everyone realises that our governments - even though they are people just like us - are not even trying to solve the global warming issue :(

Doesn't matter who takes the lead. They all went to school and got diplomas in order to aquire the job applications within the Organized Crime Syndicate. (except those who either married into it or knew someone on the inside). The question is - What are you going to do about it?

Oh wow - you have completely changed my mind - that's it, i'm cancelling my cycling holiday and going to disneyworld! i must remember to cancel all my charitable subscriptions and give all my cash to the BNP.

Or - as your grammar, syntax and vocab is so appalling - i could give my money to an adult literacy programme; or i could scoff at your pathetic attempts to wind up people who are genuinely interested in a problem (by that we mean climate change - not the reasons behind it) and show an interest in the whole earth not just their 'backyard'

go away!
