Global Warming (climate change) has already contributed to thousands of extra early deaths ie before they became grandparents - New Orleans huricans, Bangladesh cyclone, sub-sahara/darfur, crop failures, spread of disease, European heat-strokes ...
Smog is a different problem that was worse back in the 1950s when domestic coal was primary heating.
World leaders (elected ones at least) only do what people will vote for. And culturally we are stuck on a belief of infinite industrial growth on a finite planet - just see the nasty reactions your question has provoked from lots of people to scared to look at the real world and buy into the hollywood dream

We will live to be grandparents. Whether it will be a particularly nice life remains to be seen.
I think you are confusing global warming with polution in general.
Anyway a good analogy is smoking and my grandfathers. One never smoked, the other smoked like a chimney Both lived until about 80. The last 20 years of the second ones life were a living hell due to smoking relating illnesses.
So we needent be frightened of being killed by global warming. We need to be concerned about living with the consequences.

Global warming it is natural it is part of the earths cycle, but the goverment has jumped on it to stop the low paid from having a life they just want more taxes. In the 70's and 80's they said we were heading for an ice age it would take more than ten or twenty years to change from ice age to global warming, when are people going to wake up and relise that every thing the goverments tell you is not true.

Why do you insist on being a mindless sheep waiting for a leader? If you see an empty beer can on the ground do you scream for the government to come pick it up? I should hope not. You should go pick it up yourself and put it in the recycle bin, like I do.
If you believe global warming is going to kill us, do something yourself to help prevent it. Stop waiting for someone else to save the planet! Stop using electricity, stop using fossil fuel based transportation, stop eating meat. Perhaps you should turn off the computer. Do what you can to reduce your carbon footprint. If you believe the latest IPCC forecast, then not taking these and other significant actions yourself is equivalent to murder.
The handy link I included is to the actual IPCC report, which clearly shows awful things will definitely happen. It was provided to me by Bob, who answers a lot of questions here. It is possible that if you and Bob turn off the computers today, and leave them off, you might possibly survive to meet your grandchildren. You are your own best hope.

First, if you really want to believe all of those scientists, why dont you look at the claims they have made in the past - chaos theory, the planet being unstable, etc.
Then look at the contribution to total greenhouse gases that volcanic eruptions have.
Then ask yourself, do the scientists want fame, grant money, or are they truly looking for the truth?
Science has the dominant theme of theory, but very little proof of anything. No overwhelming evidence of global warming (caused by mankind), nor overwhelming evidence that Lucy was anything other than a one in a million mutation.
It is time to start looking at all of these "theories" and their evidences in a more critical way. Are the proofs they present supporting their positions the rule, or the exception?

Yes. No. Smog has nothing to do with global warming, and anyway, your so called expert is obviously a nut case.

Rhetoric, rhetoric, RHETORIC! Is that ALL we ever hear from the AGW crowd? It basically just proves that they have no sound arguments, and they know it. They have to use rhetoric to get our emotions up and running, because if they gave us scientific evidence, their theory would fall apart. (Not to mention, people like Al Gore have no idea what they're talking about anyways, because they are POLITICIANS, not scientists.)
Our world leaders will stop polution as soon as we decide to give up all of our rights and money to them, which , incidentally, is what they want.
Yeah, as for your question, I think you'll be fine, unless you die in a car accident or something. .

well it could be possible if we dont do anything about global warming but we could help decrease the chances of this happening. It is just a matter of getting people to consider thinking about the problem

Global warming is not as bad as I think you believe it is.I can quite assure that you will make it provided a few things...one;you have children, those children provide offspring.two;you live to see that day.three;a nuclear war.four;the machines rise in judgement day. Pass this test and you will be fine in your rocking chair of choice
