In a question related to how great he thinks I am, 'Always 100 percent accurate' (and ironic name) claimed that atmospheric CO2 increase [always] follows a global temperature increase. I've heard that argument here several times from GW skeptics, but why do they keep making it?

If you examine the following 2 plots from 1960-Present:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Mauna_Loa_Carbon_Dioxide.png
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Instrumental_Temperature_Record.png

You'll see that atmospheric CO2 and global temperature are increasing at the same time, with temperature lagging slightly behind CO2 increase.

The logic is that because CO2 followed temperature increases in the past, it must always follow in that order, but that's a logical fallacy. Of course CO2 can cause a temperature change because it's a greenhouse gas! 1 more plot worth examining:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Climate_Change_Attribution.png

So why do GW skeptics keep repeating this false claim?

Do you think this is a viable form of energy? If so, do you believe the "powers that be" (oil companies, governments, etc.) will ever allow there to be sufficient research and eventual use?

Should world leaders stand up and fight global warming?
Should people vote for leaders who can fight global warming but not those who make empty promises.I know them and you also do know your leaders who make empty promises."By their words we shall know them." Global warming is the least of the problems of some world leaders, should electorates even consider giving such leaders second chance?

Regardless of whether or not you believe in anthropogenic global warming, why do some keep pasting the same answer? Does this actually convince anyone of their position? Do you all enjoy reading the same boring tirades over and over? Is is possible for everyone to vote these people down so we don't have to read it? Also this is not the same as pasting a sources list.

I understand back in the days people had to hunt to survive but there's no need now in dayz since we got everything. It makes me sick when I see Deer hunters killing the lovely deers then hanging up their heads on their walls like trophies, something needs to be done to stop this so called sport.

Humans tend to cut down trees and use the land for agriculture. This has been happening for thousands of years. Is this the real cause of global warming? Are gas guzzlers and coal power plants just salt in the wound, causing pain and blame? But the wound would still be fatal without them?

If this is the case, why is the world so focused on such pain and blame, and not focused on the real cause, and what to do about it? Can't we somehow undo the effects of deforestation?

What would happen if every city and county were to plant hundreds or thousands of giant redwood trees? In WWII people had victory gardens. Why can't we use the same principle as victory gardens to have clean air parks? Millions of parks around the world with land devoted to reversing global warming by consuming carbon dioxide and replacing it with oxygen? Whatever plants grow best in each climate and contribute the most oxygen.

Would this make sense? Or what don't I understand?

Do you think that muscians and buinesspeople have started the whole "save the environment" thing now that its popular? Or do you think people would have done it anyway? Because when people first started talking about global warming not many people really seemed to care. I'm not saying its bad that they are supporting the environment it but I am questioning their motives.
