Should world leaders stand up and fight global warming?
Should people vote for leaders who can fight global warming but not those who make empty promises.I know them and you also do know your leaders who make empty promises."By their words we shall know them." Global warming is the least of the problems of some world leaders, should electorates even consider giving such leaders second chance?

World leaders are not too concerned with the well being of the masses ,on the contrary .it was stated at a conference in Copenhagen,in 1998,by an American statesman , that the Agenda demanded a decrease in the world population of 60%,and you cannot achieve this if you start saving everybody.

Scientists who get paid by politicians have downplayed the facts because solutions are expensive and means change .

Change effects many peoples incomes, and upsets profit margins,so most of the world is kept in the dark of the real things that are going on.for political and economic reasons .

On top of that it disagrees with what was written, and religion today still has a lot of political power

Global warming is acknowledged by many as a serious threat. The CEO's of the world's 1000 largest organisations unanimously declared it to be the "biggest threat humanity has ever faced".

There are other major concerns but global warming is something that affects every person on the planet and if action isn't taken soon it will get much worse.

Sir Nicolas Stern, former chief economist of the World Bank, estimates that the economic impact from global warming is currently $600 billion a year and by 2050 it will be $4 trillion a year.

The World Health Organisation points out that 150,000 people a year are already dying from the effects of global warming, a further 5 million are infected by diseases, these figures are set to double in just 13 years.

The IPCC estimates that 2 billion people would be seriously affected by global warming if something isn't done about it.

By ignoring the problem it will only get worse, it makes sense to act now whilst there's still time. This is an issue on which every government in the world agrees, it's something that can be used to unite different countries and iron out differences.

Here's how ''world leaders'' as you put it will combat global warming. Senators in their valiant crusade against global warming will build all kinds of ''green'' projects (with our money) which will all of course go way over budget. They will also give grants (our money) to corporations to assist them in making their factories environmentally friendly. Most of these companies will be owned or will give board positions to these same senators (and their buddies). Of course none of these actions will reduce pollution in fact we will find out years (and billions of our dollars) later that they actually caused more pollution. We won't find out about this without multi-million dollar studies (which as you may have guessed, will be payed for with our money). Don't you know how ''pork barrel politics'' works?

Well Bush is seeking an agreement with no binding target ! That is clearly only a PR move.

This is really the biggest joke to propose a project which is not:
clear
measurable
time tabled
and without precise goals

He failed project management, didn´t he ?
