1. Climate change affected by man?
My answer:
I suspect that human activity has some effect on the climate however the effect is much smaller than is popularly believed.
2. Al Gore an important source of information on this subject?
My answer:
No. Al Gore has no expertise on this subject. Al Gore only took one science class in college and that was a science appreciation class for non majors. Al Gore got a grade of "D" in that class.
Also Al Gore has a huge conflict of interest. Recently Al Gore started a company to sell carbon credits to gullible rich liberal people so they can continue to live in their mostrous mansions and fly their private jets all over the place without feeling guilty about their wasteful use of fossil fuels. Al Gore will make a very large amount of money from this venture.
Al Gore lives in a huge mansion himself that uses over 10 times the amount of energy that a family of 4 uses and Al Gore flys private jets that use over 1,000 times the amount of fossil fuel per mile as the most wasteful SUV uses. Al Gore definitely is not setting a good example for the rest of us.
There is no reason why Al Gore should be taken seriously on the issue of carbon emissions, fossil fuel use, Global Warming or any other subject.
3. Recent satellite data
My answer:
Recent satellite data is inconclusive on this subject despite popular belief to the contrary.
4. Soyben products or TOFU?
My answer:
I actually do consume some soybean products, however I tried TOFU once and did not like it and have never tried it agaiin.
5, Is Gobal Warming a reality or a theory?
My answer:
I recommend that we separate that to two questions and those are whether the earth is warming and if so, whether man is the cause of that warming.
My answer:
Since we are still coming out of the last ice age, the earth is warming, oherwise much of the United States would still be under a sheet of ice more than a mile thick.
The contribution of man, if any to that warming is so small that it is not detectable with any certainty with present day technology.

"Do you believe global climate change is effected by man?"
Yes.
"Is Al Gore an important source of your information regarding this subject?"
No.
"Does recent satellite data show the Earth to be warming, or cooling?"
Warming, obviously. There was some slight confusion when errors in the original calculations showed cooling, but one the errors were corrected the satellites showed exactly what was predicted.
"Do you consume soybean products, or tofu?"
No.
"Is 'global warming' a reality, or a theory?"
It appears that you don't understand the meaning of the word theory. Human-caused global warming is both.

<< Do you believe global climate change is effected by man? >>
Yes I do as does 94% of the world's population (Word Opinion Report, April 2007).
<< Is Al Gore an important source of your information regarding this subject? >>
For some he is but not for the scientitst and those who have studied global warming and related subjects; they're the source for Al Gore. For me he's irrelevant.
<< Does recent satellite data show the Earth to be warming, or cooling? >>
It shows warming across the entire planet with the exception of some small areas in the Pacific Ocean, parts of central South America and parts of Antarctica.
<< Do you consume soybean products, or tofu? >>
Hardly ever (sorry, not what you wanted me to say is it).
<< Is 'global warming' a reality, or a theory? >>
To a lay person it's a reality, to a scientist it's a theory.
It's a *scientific* theory but in science that DOES NOT mean it's not an established fact. Realtivity, matter, gravity, quantum mechanics, atoms, plate tectonics, germs, cells and evolution are also scientific theories.

1) Yes. Humans burn fossil fuels which releases greenhouse gas. Research is determining to what degree our CO2 emissions effect climate change, but there is no dispute that we have come effect.
2) No. Al Gore's film did an excellent job spreading global warming information to the masses, and it drew my attention to the issue a bit more, but I don't rely on "An Inconvenient Truth" for GW information. Most of my info comes from Joseph Romm's "Hell and High Water", and I'm also going to read George Monbiot's "Heat".
3) "satellites now clearly show that the atmosphere is warming at around the rate predicted by the models"
http://www.realclimate.org/index.php?p=170
4) I consume some soybean products, though not many.
5) Global Warming is a reality. It's a directly measured effect. The only debate is about what causes GW.

Warming

Yes
Is 'global warming' a reality, or a theory?
Global warming, in the sense that the earth's average temperature is much cooler than it tends to stabilize out at and is correcting the disaster which caused this unnatural condition with no help or hindrance from humans, is a reality.
GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is a scam by a large group of environmentalists and 'grant money conscious' scientists to keep the money rolling in by scaring people into falling for yet another disaster prediction caused by the evil, greedy, selfish, human race.
Population Explosion, Impending Ice Age, Hole in the Ozone, DDT was going to kill us all but is now recomended for use in Africa by the World Health Organization!
Bunch of scammers.
Always assume they are lying.

A. yes, minimally with exception to rocket launched space shuttles and sattelites. volcano's produce far more pollutants.
B. Al Gore established himself a bozo a long time ago, did we all suddenly forget?
C. satellite data may show some warming, but NASA also confirms the sun has been burning somewhat hotter for the last decade or more.
D. I'm not much a fan of tofu.
E. it is both to some extent, and I do remember 35 years ago there was major publicity about a coming ice age, a global cooling scare. what does a microwave oven do to water and how does a cel phone operate ?

Yes, I believe man has contributed. It's foolish to think modern society with 5 billion people all driving cars and buying cheap goods made at heavily polluting factories don't impact the environment after a few decades.
No, I did watch the film and read the book , but I've read a ton of other stuff too.
Recent data shows cooling, but not enough to say we're in the clear.
Yes, I consume a lot of soy products.
Global warming is a complete reality. It's happening. But, the debate is whether or not man has an impact.

Lol, I took the liberty to check up what YOU think, Don. Here is your answers.
Do you believe global climate change is effected by man?
"There are natural cycles in the climate of the Earth, and it is arrogant to think that man could affect them."
Is Al Gore an important source of your information regarding this subject?
"They will offer plenty of testimonial by actors, and "has been politicians turned movie stars", (Did you know Al Gore claimed to have invented the Internet ?), but no scientifically based empirical evidence."
Does recent satellite data show the Earth to be warming, or cooling?
"Satellite data actually shows the Earth to be cooling slightly."
Do you consume soybean products, or tofu?
Is 'global warming' a reality, or a theory?
"'Global Warming' is just a theory, and not fact."
What kind of survey is it?
Additional: sure it would. Maybe you should have thought of holding back your personal beleifs before asking other peoples opinion, since you are expecting the reason for this survey to be compromised if its purpose is known. Now, as far as emailing me, I think your reason for doing so would backfire. :) I look forward to hearing it as you provide your results though.

"global warming" is a tricky term, because theres a cooling that counteracts the warming.
yes, its largely due to humans.
al gore just brought the topic up to many people, but scientists around the world have been talking about this for years now.
the warming/cooling thing is a trick question, because BOTH are happening at different times. seasons dont start at the right time any more, and we keep getting more extreme weather, both hot and cold.
i dont care much for tofu, but people in my house eat it. and we get some soy products also.
global warming is reality, it might not be 100% proven yet, but any theory or hypothesis goes through stages of reassessment before becoming fact.
its the same as evolution, or gravity. you cant entirely prove them, but that doesnt mean that its not true. there are people out there that will dispute the holocaust too, but it doesnt mean it never happened.
