This is a big problem for us--as if we just leave them sitting in bags in the backyard animals rip them up.

I believe that global warming may be true, but I don't believe tha ther is evidence that it is caused my human activity. I believe that we are in an dynamic climate that will change whit or without people.

As I recall, it was a hell of a blast that influenced the climate.

How much did it cool the earth by?

Quite a bit, so much so that today's global warming only makes up for the change that Krakatoa cooled us down by.

Hey, does that that we are not Gods and do not control the planet?

Of course warming is a natural occurence - just like ice ages (otherwise there would be no term for an ice age...). The question is not whether temperature changes are natural, the question is whether we are changing the natural cycle - accelerating it or even amplyfying it.
The CO2 in the air can be measured as far back as 100,000 years ago, and it has been shown to be directly related to the temperature cycles. The current CO2 levels are directly tied to our pollution, and are higher than any other time in the last 100,000 years. The question is not whether we are changing the natural cycle - the question is how much, and whether we can reverse the effects.

How are world governments going to assess this? Do they scrap every person's current car and force them to buy a new one or will their government pay for one to provide?
If Global Warming is to be stopped/slowed down one of these options must happen.

what do you see as Global Warming and do you think it is true i personally think it is a scam to get you to vote for the democrates because they say they are going to do something about it and they will just raise taxes alot to "help" it and actually use the money for some other thing and say they are fixing Global Warming.

Often I smell musty, basement smell near the Budweiser plant here in town. If the wind's blowing from that direction it will smell like a load of mildewed laundry a couple miles away. It's the only thing in the area that I can figure causing this--I mean the motels along the rail road tracks there are seedy, but I don't think their cumulative odors could stink up the whole of that stretch of Rt. 66! Nor have I noticed the rails causing this permeating smell in any other of my extensive travels. Just wondering.

What annoys you about the recent rules appearing in the UK particularly since the 'Global Warming' phenomenon?
This recycling carry on is getting worse too is your bin chipped yet? Whats the real reason behind microchipping our bins? The bins get checked and we get fined if the right rubbish isnt in the right bin and they're planning to introduce more boxes for us to use! If we recycle alot are they going to give us Tesco vouchers or something? You on fortnightly collections yet? smelly Britain?

I known there is alot of chemicals in the trash etc. we take there, but can that damage the soil above the trash. We could plant crops there such as corn but we don't know if it can be used for human consumtion or animals. While using the corn for food we could also use it to make ethonal or other biofuels. If we could do this the gas price would come down and we would find a good use for all that wasted land in our country.

We already know that the government is working on other possible fuel sources such as hydrogen, fission, etc. Well, I believe that in the amount of time and money spent on planning, research, and development of these POSSIBLE sources, we could introduce solar AND wind power as our future source. These two may not be able to support everyone seperately but together, think what could happen! Less emissions, pollution, trash; more clean air, more blue sky, more money for other things...why wouldn't this work? Why can't we use something guaranteed vs somethings that is possible?

Everyone seems to make the house the normal way, just bedrooms, closets, bathroom, kitchen, etc... But I don't want a house like this, I want my house to have MORE THINGS! A house that dosn't depends of the water and electrical service or depending of the grocery store service!, I don't know if this can be possible, any idea? Here are mines:

It will be a subteranean house, will have its own garden (Inside the house, a HUGE room with a especial roof) There will be fruits trees and vegetals! There will be solar panels and 2 water tanks (those will depend of rain and subteranean water) It can also re-use the used water, cleaned and than use it again!

The laundry will be inside, the cloth will dry INSIDE the house, there will be a library and a huge room to stock food and stuff for any future need, a air cleaner, the air that come INSIDE the house will be cleaned etc etc and also it will have a pond for fish etc... Any ideas? can this be possible or is to much fantasy?

Whether or not GW is primarily caused by humans and whether or not reducing human greenhouse gas emissions will have any effect on it, we have 2 options: either reduce emissions or don't.

If we don't reduce emissions, we're taking the risk that a large percentage of climate scientists whose models have predicted dangerous global temperature increases are correct. In effect, we're riksing the possibility of catastrophic climate change. We continue burning fossil fuels in the hope they're wrong.

If we do reduce emissions, we not only play it safe with regards to global warming, but we also reduce our dependence on foreign oil, improve health (CO2 is not the only biproduct of burning these fuels), and improve energy efficiency which means economic savings in the long run.

To me that short-term investment means a long-term benefit on several levels. A win-win, if you will. So GW skeptics - explain to me why the first scenario is the smart one.
