Yes Anna, this is the only E85 capable hybrid to date. & it is still in "R & D" (Research & Development)
I personally can't wait for it to come to the market!
The Ford Hybrid Escape is already the "Greenest SUV on the Planet" & when it becomes the ONLY Flex-Fuel Hybrid, maybe some people will finally recognize Fords commitment to alternative fuels.
Ford pioneered flex-fuel vehicles in the early '90's & also hydrogen fueled vehicles, which they also have on the road (in R&D).

A while ago, I heard that Brazil had a really high gas price b/c so little was used. I think the engine used gasoline to start but ran off of ethanol the rest of the time. If they can do it, I don't see why we can't.

they make'em, Ford has there flexfuel vehicles that can go back and forth between petrol and E85 with no problem...and if Brazil can become the first nation to be completly fuel independent due to all auto's having to run on ethanol....you don't need a hybrid to do it....that's pretty cool knowing that Brazil just grows corn and cane to satisfy there fuel needs....and were world leaders....

Most new cars can burn a high percentage of ethanol, like 50% or higher. Problem is that most gas stations don't sell it.

No, but ethanol is pretty commonplace, if you have a drag racer car.

Obvio! / ZAP! make "tryibrid" compacts - any mixture of ethanol, gasoline, and natural gas. (but not with electric).

hope that helps
