Carbon Monoxide rapidly changes over into Carbon Dioxide in the free atmosphere. Carbon Dioxide is heavier than Oxygen, Nitrogen, Helium, Hydrogen, and it sinks to the surface of the Earth. At the surface of the Earth CO2 is absorbed by plants, shrubs, and trees which emit Oxygen in return.

Travel by Jet Aircraft has increased ten fold in the last ten years. Jet planes emit millions and millions of cubic feet of CO2 and CO as they make cross country and transcontinental flights. When they emit the gas, they do so at very high altitudes which are unreachable by plants, shrubs, and trees.
The gases must first cool down and then settle to the surface of the Earth for that cleansing action to take place. Who is concerned about Jet Aircraft causing Global Warming? It seems like the only concern is automobiles, buses and trucks. If Global Warming is a killer like they say why arn't we seeing massive evergreen shrub and evergreen tree planting activities by the US Government???

In recent months lots of Newspaper Headlines have ranted and raved about Global Warming. What they keep yelling about is Greenhouse Gases, Carbon Dioxide, and Methane.
I would like to ask each of you if those gases heat up as fast as BLACK ASPHALT PAVEMENT? Is it possible that carbon dioxide retains heat as long as BLACK ASPHALT PAVING?

There is a Coal Fired Power Plant in Washington, D.C., which provides heating and other services to the Senate, the House, the Capital, and some other major government installations there. It pollutes the DC area air supply like crazy and should be the first item replaced by our US Government if we are really serious about Global Warming. Do you think they have plans to replace it now???

The Earth is not alone in warming up in this sunspot cycle, but nobody seems concerned about Mars warming. Could Mars be warming for the same reasons as earth, or is it pollution from the Rovers?

I noted an alarm about the Great Barrier Reef, but nobody said how it survived the 1000AD (+/-) warming cycle, which happened w/o CO2 "pollution".

Nobody has looked and spoken to how man created the "Little Ice Age" in the 1700's, so we could do likewise.

Nobody mentions the normal long-term glaciation cycles regarding arctic ocean melting anymore...the ones that allowed the immigration from Siberia to North America some 11,000 years ago..

We all seem to be avoiding learning from the past...right? Why? Who profits from NOT checking history and science, and applying the lessons from the farther past?

used earlier that cut amounts the most, the quickest and the cheapest are identified and scaled up and as new efforts are sought out invented and discovered and attempted successfully are added in to be developed and used somewhere and then scaled up for wider use at the same time in an ongoing process? Would this slow global warming the fastest by putting increasing pressue on emission reduction efforts through clean technology to lower emissions or to scrub carbon from the atomosphere and to help people to keep trying to put in the effort and build the things needed on a large enough scale to fix the problem completely quick enough to prevent all potential problems from it best?

What things, like reasearching hybrid technology, are we doing right now to prevent the greenhouse effect and global warming?

They're everywhere in my basement and in my shed. And I'm afraid of them. Is there a good way to get rid of them? I can't use poison due to other animals in the house. I've tried molasses, but that killed about 10. I'm willing to try anything. My skin needs to stop crawling! Thanks.

I already asked a question telling you guys how to stop it. But here's another reason why:

As all of Europe are heated by the North Atlantic Drift, their fine right? WRONG! If enough ice breaks off of Greenland because of global warming, it could disrupt the North Atlantic Drift and send EUROPE INTO AN ICE AGE!!! It may be ironic but it is totally true. Now here's my question again: WHO'S READY TO STOP GLOBAL WARMING? Feel free to speculate.

I know that global warming is happening, and I know that man is the main cause of it. I think 90% is man's fault, and 10% is "other". But what I want to know is what to say to people who correlate ice caps melting on Mars with what is happening on Earth. I think the connection is tenuous, at best.

I have been puzzling over this for a while.

There's a lot of research going into hydrogen storage methods, because storing enough hydrogen to compete with a good ol' gas tank is a major problem.

Then there is the problem of where you're going to get the hydrogen, how you're going to get it to a pump, etc.

Why mess around with this when we can just make all-electric cars? Wouldn't the money be better spent on battery research?

Thermodynamically, the loss of energy involved with hydrogen production, phase changes, chemical reactions in a fuel cell, fuel transportation, etc. make it impossible for hydrogen to beat a purely electric solution.

Electricity is easily distributed on existing networks and is a very efficient means of storing and using energy.

Anyone care to explain why so many people are big on hydrogen when we could be going straight for electric?

Like batteries, used CFLs need to be disposed at a toxic waste depot rather than tossed out with the ordinary household trash. Because mercury is cumulative, this poisonous element would add up if all spent bulbs went into a land fill."

In other words, environmentalists are likely to kill us all ....

Do you agree with the following statements (one word answers are fine)...

1) The average global temperature is increasing

2) Any global temperature increase is due to natural cycles only

3) Mars is warming so any warming on Earth is due to the sun

4) In the 1970's the alarm was about global cooling

5) Volcanoes contribute as much, if not more, to global warming than humans do

6) Levels of the so called 'greenhouse gases' are increasing

Thank you for your time.

This thought has been in my mind for many years, and now that all of us humans have come to know the different ways of destruction, that have been produced by man for his lust for power of whatever type, all of us should be asking this question to our selves!

I know that mothers leave their babies by themselves and come and feed them through the day to keep predators away. And its very common to find one laying in the grass or woods curled up not moving at all, and I know not to touch them and its illegal to take one. I just need the OBVIOUS signs of abandonment. What do they do or how do they act??
