How long will it take before the cars are affordable for most people? I just bought a car for almost $11K and it was a little more than I wanted to pay. The "green" cars seem to be in the $20's usually. I can't do it. I know you get a big tax break for it, but I can't wait til then for the money.

I live in the mountains and drive on dirt roads. I need a vehicle with good ground clearance and either all wheel drive or four wheel drive. Everything out there seems to be a gas guzzler. Any suggestions.

Those countries that have fossil fuel in the ground will continue to sell it to anyone that wants it. Reducing your carbon footprint will only delay the inevitable and is a RED HERRING.
What politicians SHOULD be doing is finding ways of managing that inevitabilty and NOT sending us on wild goose chases.
NOTHING repeat NOTHING can take the place of Fluid Transportable Fuel (FTF) Diesel, Petrol & Gas etc. which is needed to plough fields, sow seeds, reap the harvest and distribute food for 6 billion people.
Solar Panels - NO
Batteries - NO
Wind turbines - NO
Nuclear - NO
Waves - NO
Bi-Mass - Would be insufficient

I study Geography in school and I am wondering. Global warming is causing water shortages as water runs dry. Global warming is melting ice on the two poles and sea level will rise. So are there too much water or too little water?

Is there another practical means to generate the world's power needs? Fossil fuel based power must be worse, since it has immediate greenhouse gas impacts, and the total volume of the world's nuclear waste wouldn't fill a soccer stadium. If run properly, do nuclear plants impact the environment?

Why was it so hot back then with a fully functioning Ozone layer? Surely it would have been freezing? And could global warming not be caused by the sun getting closer to us every year??? I know that the sun is getting colder but it is also getting closer, could this be another cause of the hole in the ozone layer, could it be burning thru from that side? Arent the problems caused by the heat getting in thru the hole and not being able to get back out of the layer so why not destroy the layer completely and let the heat bounce back???? Just a thought lol

Anyone know of any gas station chains that sell Ethanol-FFV fuel, and if so is it worth the purchase of a vehicle that takes this fuel.

What's happening about the climate change?
What particular areas are affected? US? Europe?
Do cold places get hot? hot places get cold? In what extent?
Is that permanent? Can it be solved?
Will Europe get hot? Will winters be gone forever?

We provide an analysis of Greenland temperature records to compare the current (1995–2005) warming period with the previous (1920–1930) Greenland warming. We find that the current Greenland warming is not unprecedented in recent Greenland history. Temperature increases in the two warming periods are of a similar magnitude, however, the rate of warming in 1920–1930 was about 50% higher than that in 1995–2005.

*The developed countries think that their economy will fall significantly if they abide to rules and regulations provided by the internatinal conventions for they will spend much money for the implementation forgetting that the destruction in the future will be not a history to narrate but a disaster for everyone.

I have loads and loads of plastic bags that I have gathered over the years from clothes shopping and I don't want to just turf them in the bin. I want to know if there are places or services that can recycle plastic bags.

Thanks

My common knowledge is that plants emit CO2 at night (in the absence of light, since no photosynthesis occurs). If this be true then it means the more the plants the more CO2 is emitted.
