I have 3 lamps that use progressive lighting (50-100-150 watts). I have looked for energy saving bulbs for these lamps but can find none>

Do you mean a 3-way light bulb? These are the kind that have 3 intensities of light given off. I haven't heard of progressive lighting, so this is the best I can do for an answer. They do make a 3-way compact flourescent bulb or a dimmable CFL. You can find them online or at Walmart. Sorry if this isn't the type of bulb you're looking for.

Engergy STar light bulbs are great...a little more pricey but last longer if you replace on regular light bulb in your home w/the coil looking ES bulbs is the same as taking 80,000 cars off the road...plus:ENERGY STAR qualified bulbs use about 75 percent less energy than standard incandescent bulbs and last up to 10 times longer.
Save about $30 or more in electricity costs over each bulb's lifetime.
Produce about 75 percent less heat, so they're safer to operate and can cut energy costs associated with home cooling.
Are available in different sizes and shapes to fit in almost any fixture, for indoors and outdoors.

as well as others do sell them. They are out there, but may not be that easily found as the regular ones yet.

They also make ones now that work with dimmer switches, have a smaller bottom and look like "candle flames" for use in chandeliers, globe frosted ones that work nicely in exposed bulb vanity lamps over mirrors in bathrooms, etc. They are attempting to produce these to fill EVERY niche of the lighting market.

I looked for them at Home Depot and didn't see any. They should be made available.
