It is well know that America is one of the fatest nations on Earth, so why not set up lipo-centers to take "fat donations" and then use it for fuel? I see a win-win situation here, people with unwanted fat get it sucked out at no fee, and we reduce our dependence on oil.

So, possible reality or just wishfull thinking?

I have no recycling available in my area, and to drive that far would waste fuel.
These are two things I am doing that are easy.

Using clean and refillable water bottles, and buys by the gallon or more. No water bottles to trash.
Using shopping bags, I purchased two reusable bags for 99c each. Every time you use them you save 3c and no more plastic bags.

Give more ideas, please.

As for global warming, look at this site (not a blog or someone's soapbox forum):

Yes, man needs to stop many of his destructive ways on this planet but when are people going to realize that most of any change is the result of planetary changes and cycles? Hey, do you think our CO2 emmisions caused the last ice age to end? No, it was just part of the earth's cycles.

Anyone with an elementry education should know that it was NASA scientists that discovered it 20 years ago. Al Gore is only bringing attention to it.

The climate has changed for billions of years.
It's been much hotter and much colder.
The temperature has gone up and down slower and faster.
There has been much more and much less CO2 in the atmosphere.
The CO2 has increased and decreased at slower and faster rates as well before humans exsisted.
Also other planets in the solar system are changing at the same rate as earth.

Why is it any different now?

How can this be attributed to humans when this has all happend even before Humans were here?

It seems that the so called environ"MENTAL" crowd should be behind global warming, if it's going to be as bad as they say. All of the catastrophy that they claim will happen
will only result in a reduction of population, a key component in there argument to stop global warming.

And if the debate is over, do the proponents of global warming/Climate change, understand they have lost?

IMHO, the solution is a True Hybrid. More than 50 years ago the Railroads figured it out (sorta)-why do you think the locomotives that pull the big freight trains are called Diesel-Electrics? And the military has figured it out (sorta)- they have a prototype next gen HummVee in testing. Even stodgy old GM has almost got it, with their Roller Skate platform. What we need are vehicles powered by electric motors in the wheels, with electricity from an onboard generator driven by an engine that burns a bio-fuel(NOT blended gasoline or diesel), that's produced in a plant that uses biofuel. And what if our farmers became so good at raising whatever crop is needed to produce the biofuels, that we stopped needing to import oil, and actually became a fuel supplier to the world?
