Don´t worry

Your country is full of hypocrites and AlGore is by far not the only one.
It costs around 200,000 $ to get him as a speaker for a conference. That´s the price for a climate super star...

Nevertheless people you do not hear about are working every day and taking everyday steps not for them but for others by improving the planet. And THEY deserve recognition.

Forget Al Gore. He has nothing to do with the science behind global warming. His personal life is not proof that global warming is not real. This is the environment section, not the politics section.

BECAUSE OF THE DATA 99+% of scientists around the world believe global warming is real and mostly caused by us. And any number of very distinguished people, too.

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”

Vice Admiral Richard H. Truly, USN (Ret.)
Former NASA Administrator, Shuttle Astronaut and the first Commander of the Naval Space Command

Here are two summaries of the mountain of data that convinced Admiral Truly, short and long.

"There's a better scientific consensus on this [climate change] than on any issue I know - except maybe Newton's second law of dynamics. Global warming is almost a no-brainer at this point,You really can't find intelligent, quantitative arguments to make it go away."

Jerry Mahlman, NOAA

Now look HERE you!! Al Gore buys carbon credits and that entitles him to use as much energy as he wants as long as the money holds out. It also relinquishes him of the title of hypocrite, so leave the poor man alone. Can't you see he's leading the way in bringing global warming to a screeching halt? Forget planting trees, forget turning your lights off, forget driving less. Buy CARBON CREDITS!! That makes it all okay.

Oh, and Bob (above), 99% (I'd like to know where that number came from) are also living off reserch grant money. The ones who aren't are saying this is all hogwash. What does THAT tell you?

when you pay more for blocks of energy from solar energy companies, you can use all the electricity you want and remain environmentally friendly.

also, since you probably have never come to a point in your life where all of a sudden you become extremely passionate about a cause, when you do, it tends to make you ignore other things in your life that at the time do not seem important to the cause.
scientists and researchers tend to do it all of the time. from forgetting to pay their bills even though they have the money, to forgetting to eat regular meals and so on.
do you think there has never been a scientist researching nutrition, and found what and how much food you should eat a day, while he was living on fast food at the office??
does his own actions make his findings or his statement about nutrition any less relevant?? no it doesn't. doesn't make him a hypocrite either.

Ha! Yes, you're exactly right!! Bravo... and here I thought I was the only sane person in the country.

Al Gore IS the biggest hypocrite in America - he may say that he cares about the environment, but of course, he doesn't. All he cares about is power and money. Which, apparently, he has a lot of if he uses that much energy.

Ironically, this information on him really is an 'inconvenient truth.'

Now George Bush's house, on the other hand, has all kinds of energy-saving technology, and, in fact, uses 25 percent less energy than the average household.

Isn't THAT interesting?

completely. and not in basic terms that. Gore does a great variety of harm to environmentalists because of the fact he's a divisive political discern. they may be plenty extra helpful off with somebody like Chuck Norris. SO ok, i'm activity... won't inevitably purchase into the international warming element (my severe college technological information instructor is gonna be pissed!). So tell me... we are figuring out to purchase a dwindling oil grant from fundamentalist Arabs who hate us. Is that sound financial and foreign places coverage? No? ok then, what do you advise we do in yet in any different case? Any strategies? Any in any respect. hi? anyone there? Gore may be a ninny, yet each and every of the Republicans do is whine and placed the pastimes of their occasion formerly the solid of their usa. Its one element to push aside the Dems, yet having no environmental / potential coverage in any respect is what makes the Republicans dangerously stupid.

What the major news company failed to tell you was that since Al Gore's house not only generates it's own power, it has some left-over to offer to the area grid. He's using green energy: solar, the sun. His house is not sucking energy off the major electric power grid like most other homes. And, because he is wealthy, famous and deserves it, he has a larger house than you or I, so he will naturally use more energy.

So because "Big Al" purchases carbon credits it's ok to burn up enormous amounts of energy, as if it never happened? I'm sorry, but the world doesn't work that way. While he's flying around the world in private jets using large amounts of fossil fuels to lecture us on why we need to save the planet he shouldn't be held accountable for his actions? Ridiculous.

Well, there's an interesting thing. You know, homeless people use nearly no energy, while those with large homes use a ton. It's the way it goes. Convenience drives America
