if Land O Lakes buys his milk? Yes, i know it depends on how much the heifers produce. I would like a ballpark figure of what a Dairy Farmer brings home in a month BEFORE expenses!

Since trade favors economic growth, it brings about at least part of the necessary means to preserve the environment. The better off people are, the more they demand a cleaner environment. Furthermore, it is not uncommon that employment opportunities in export activities encourage people to give up highly polluting marginal occupations. In short, if trade is made freer, the world will get richer--and that is the surest way to make it cleaner too.

This was an argument my professor made abotu free trade and how it is good for the enviornment.

Most of the stuff in his documentary is lies. Snow is disappearing on Mt. Kilaminjaro because they cut down all the trees. Water is disappearing in Russia because they diverted many river systems. He should become a spokesperson for Weight Watchers if you ask me not run for President. I think he is a loser.

humans are facing death upon themselves. In future, aliens coming to earth will look back the pages of history and laugh at us "haha, humans enjoyed themselves to extinction." air-cons, computers and wateva.human's invention all uses electrical energy. Those energy are dug up from earth.they are suppposedly buried under earth for millions of years.do you think the sun's energy throughout these billions of years just dissapeared? no, they are stored via animal bodies ect under earth. but what are we doing now? we are digging and releasing em to e atmosphere. this is the same as a battery storing billions of years of energy and releasing them at once. that is the sun's energy we are talking about. no wonder the scientist are making a big fuss about global warming. (TBC in the answer part)

New York, Washington D.C., Denver, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. I'm trying to start a book and want to know some details (extent of damage, radiation etc.) of this nuclear scenario. What part of the country would still be habitable immediately after this, and after the wind currents move the (radiation?? or is it something else?).

It seems to me that there are so many people protesting against anything new that should some scientist(s) find a new safe form of energy they will not be allowed to develop it because of irrational fears.
For example we still get protesters against mobile phone masts because of alleged, unproven radiation fears.
Also some time ago scientists found a way to preserve food for very long periods without freezing or the use of chemicals, it was called irradiation and would have dramatically reduced the energy required to store food.
Once again there wasn't the slightest evidence that such food was in any way dangerous but the crackpots got their way.
Your thoughts please.

1. I noticed that people who believe in global warming always back up with facts, sources etc.

2. I noticed that the critics always use two aruments "You're a liberal" or "It's democrat propaganda"

Just because your Wal-Mart shift supervisor tells you it is't so doesn't mean you should believe him.

Myth number 1:
Scientists are inclusive on Global Warming

Fact:
Scientists are in virtual 100% agreement that Global Warming is occuring at a crisis level.

Myth Number 2:
It's a natural Earth cycle

Fact:
It is not a natural Earth cycle. In the last few decades, CO-2 levels in the atmosphere are more than double what they EVER were at any point in planetary history. It wil rise to quadruple that in 45 years. Warming cycles take 100,000 years, not 50. Do these people think they still have a free ticket to pollute?

Get your heads out of your asses!

I noticed someone in England has allready asked this question.
I recall a couple years ago in North Carolina the were very concerned about the bee shortage and saying it can cause an agricultral crises.

Now I am hearing that much of the US is having a problem with a shortage of bees.

Am I getting the news correct? If so, where have the bees gone and this can have an extreme impact on our country?

Heal global warming and produce energy at the same time?

I am not a chemist or anything but I had in idea when I woke up this morning. The two elements in primary question are ozone (O3) and carbon dioxide (co2). The problem is that we have too much co2 not enough ozone, partly because of various chemical pollutants that destroy the volatile ozone molecule. So here is my idea.

Take the 2 elements, we have 1 carbon and 2 oxygen make up Co2, then in water we have 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen. What we could do is device someway to harvest CO2 emissions, and combine them with water (h2o) on a molecular basis. Break down the 2 molecules, leaving 3 oxygen atoms, 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 carbon.

My friend drops all of his beer bottles to the bottom of the ocean floor. This bugs me because I see it as littering. He said that the bottle provides a habitat for little creatures and that glass is essentially sand anyway so if proposes no harm to the environment. Does anyone have any views either way on this or maybe something he or myself isn't thinking of??? The bottles don't have labels on them, so the paper wont pollute.
