humans are facing death upon themselves. In future, aliens coming to earth will look back the pages of history and laugh at us "haha, humans enjoyed themselves to extinction." air-cons, computers and wateva.human's invention all uses electrical energy. Those energy are dug up from earth.they are suppposedly buried under earth for millions of years.do you think the sun's energy throughout these billions of years just dissapeared? no, they are stored via animal bodies ect under earth. but what are we doing now? we are digging and releasing em to e atmosphere. this is the same as a battery storing billions of years of energy and releasing them at once. that is the sun's energy we are talking about. no wonder the scientist are making a big fuss about global warming. we are making the earth a sun itself. as we are indulging in the convinience electricity is giving us, we never cease to contribute to our extinction. But u have to remember, this earth doesnt belongs to us,there are animals out who could rightfully claim this land theirs.by using electricity, u are in fact killing them(or their decendants). think about your pets, those millions more captived animals in your museum(zoo), and billions more out there in the wild. of course u will not be alive to see all those, you wouldnt even care who dies or whateva. you only care about how to live your live comfortably right? So let me ask you again, Are you selfish?

Sonolord, you need to quit watching late night television, get a good night's sleep and get some perspective about life. Keep in mind an old line from a Pan Am (a now defunct airline) commercial:
Each day you put off having a life you get one day closer to never having a life at all.
It all starts now my worrisome friend.

"humans are facing death upon themselves"
That's true, we all die. There hasn't been one exception to that rule.
"In future, aliens coming to earth will look back the pages of history and laugh at us "haha, humans enjoyed themselves to extinction." air-cons, computers and wateva.human's invention all uses electrical energy"
Wow! That's a pretty lofty claim, assuming that not only aliens will come to earth, but knowing what they will say?!
"air-cons, computers and wateva.human's invention all uses electrical energy. Those energy are dug up from earth.they are suppposedly buried under earth for millions of years.do you think the sun's energy throughout these billions of years just dissapeared? no, they are stored via animal bodies ect under earth. but what are we doing now? we are digging and releasing em to e atmosphere. this is the same as a battery storing billions of years of energy and releasing them at once. that is the sun's energy we are talking about. no wonder the scientist are making a big fuss about global warming."
This rambling demonstrates you have little understanding of the processes involved in generating electricity.
The Earth is not a sun, it is not a giant ball of gas that is a sustained nuclear fusion reaction.

Well said. I'll bet you would like a great novel I just read along those exact same lines: It's called Where Did This Come From? by Larry Nocella. He's a relatively new author, but the book is available on Amazon.com. He also made a point on his blog about using different printing methods to prevent environmental degradation.
Anyway, I totally agree with your sentiment. I remember Bill Maher also said something similar, about how people will get lynched if they suggest Americans change their habits.
We've all got to do what we can, no matter how little. Doint nothing is not an option.

Dude, didn't you just use electricity to post this rant?
Rotating turbines attached to electrical generators produce most commercially available electricity. Turbines are driven by a fluid which acts as an intermediate energy carrier. The fluids typically used are:
steam - Water is boiled by nuclear fission or the burning of fossil fuels (coal, natural gas, or petroleum). Some newer plants use the sun as the heat source: solar parabolic troughs and solar power towers concentrate sunlight to heat a heat transfer fluid, which is then used to produce steam.
water - Turbine blades are acted upon by flowing water, produced by hydroelectric dams or tidal forces.
wind - Most wind turbines generate electricity from naturally occurring wind. Solar updraft towers use wind that is artificially produced inside the chimney by heating it with sunlight.
hot gases - Turbines are driven directly by gases produced by the combustion of natural gas or oil. This method is becoming less common as new ways of generating electricity are being developed.
Also, your rant does not prove the statement that we are all selfish. Maybe I live in a biodome that is run on solar panels, and drive an electric car. There are many human inventions that do not use electricity.

It is not are you, but: are we? And of course we are, no matter however selfless you are, are tend to want something once in a while. And we use our resources like no tomorrow, since we are too lazy to not to. We are like this because we are human. If we could change our behavior then the earth would be a nice place, but it is a shame we can't. We are afraid of the unknown.

He should be in a prozac commercial. Try wrapping your head in aluminum foil. It will leave less of a carbon footprint and will dimish the electrical impulses your brain produces. Although after seeing this I am not sure that is possible..

& your calling US selfish?! Let me guess, you're using a solar powered computer to ask this question? You should have thought about that before you posted this question. Do you by any chance have a BRAIN?!
PS: Are YOU an alien, because it sounds like it!

I'm assuming you posted this question using a non electrical computer. Otherwise, you would be selfish as well, but would have forgotten to admit it.
