Thousands of camp-fires caused global warming. If you don't learn from history, you're doomed to repeat it. Sometime in pre-history, there was some cave-man going around warning against camp-fires. If only we didn't light all those fires a hundred thousand years ago, we'd still have an ice age, and the neaderthals would still be around. The "Fire is bad" message was completely ignored then, lets not let it happen again. But not all thechnology is bad, such as the wheel.

The earth goes through natural warming and cooling cycles. We're currently in a warming cycle that started approximately 18,000 years ago and ever since then the world has been warming and the ice has been retreating. It's still warming and the ice is still melting, technically we're still in an ice age, it's just that the ice is currently confined to the polar regions.

Some of the other funnier answer none withstanding, please take into consideration that the last ice age took hundred of years to occur. Our current global warning, which I think you are implicitly referring to here, is occurring in less than 100 and closer to 50. This is the main problem with the "kind of human activity"
