Global warming definitely does exist, just as does global cooling.
This global temperature cycling does NOT exist as it is being presented to us.
The global warming religionists are using a natural cycle to make for themselves a classic buck. Remember Earth Day 1? The fear mongers were shouting about global cooling and the coming ice age.

Today's global warming hype is all about money.
Al is buying 'carbon credits' so that he can have a 'clear conscience'. The only thing about that is that he is buying these 'credits' from a company owned by ....
...
Al.
If indeed this could be related to something that humans have done, a carbon credit could be named a pollution permit..something that is already in existance, at least for those who can afford it.....big companies and the very rich. The poor folks, like most of us, just have to make severe personal sacrifice to maintain a low amount of pollution since we cannot afford to buy permits. All the while, Al and his ilk are saying,"Let them eat cake."

Too bad it's not all over the news what the truth is - that al and his family paid 5800 dollars MORE than they needed to last year, to ensure their home is connected to a power grid with lower carbon emissions.

Too bad you missed that over Christmas, an island in the Bay of Bengal sank into the sea because of global warming.

Good thing you're not a polar bear starving to death because there is no ice at the polar ice cap.

Do you like being a stooge of and tool for evil men who are destroying your habitat for some cold cash?

Please, please, please, for once will somebody who disputes global warming actually come up with some evidence.

I've been studying GW for many years (long before it became a political issue) and have encountered many thousands of skeptics. Despite repeated requests, no-one has come up with any genuine evidence to back up their claims. It's all based on what someone else said, something they heard on the radio, a web page they visited, what they think.

It's human nature to want to dispute global warming because by accepting it one is acknowledging they are part of the problem. It's much more palatable to deny it rather than face facts and accept the consequences.

Before dismissing GW as BS it would be prudent to look at both sides of the argument. To dismiss something out of hand without having first examined the evidence renders an informed and accurate conclusion impossible.

how about all that BS that you're swallowing which is being peddled by the huge corporations that don't want anyone to interrupt their supply of money flowing from your pocket into theirs?

dude...keep being greedy....and DO NOT complain when the S*** hits the fan in a big way in a decade or so...

I'd strongly recommend that you move to a beachside suburb so that you're one of the first to go when the oceans rise to claim all the ignoramouses who said "NO...what Global Warming??? Of course the Polar Ice Caps aren't melting! This stuff's not affecting me so why should I worry?"

It is incredible to see that the only country were "so called" scientists still doubt global warming is the US... most of them from very reputable universities in Nebraska, Alabama, Oklahoma, etc... more questionable is their funding.

Do you really believe 1500 scientists worldwide made a conspiracy to find the same result and it would be possible even to have such a conspiracy without a single leak ??? just think about how ridiculous it is. And the correlation between temperature and CO2 is difficult to question.

Not to mention the "wikipedia" graphics you have on web sites and papers of self-reproducing fake informations from fantasy analysis trying to prove there is no global warming.

Recently, a study from the PEW center study showed that even chinese people (with 40% of traditional farmers) are more aware than the people of the US on the causes ans consequences of global warming. It is really a pity.

I work against global warming (of course not in the US despite my green card) and even businesses are fighting now against global warming because they understand the problem and the consequences... As a result, corporate america is much more intelligent than the basic republican voter who think he is helping business by not taking action... this is so paradoxal.

While the world economy is going to double or triple (200% to 300% of nowadays GDP), over the next decades, cost for action is estimated at only 1 to 4% of the world GDP... really. And your Department of Energy comes to the same findings..

And this is confirmed by the report of Nicholas Stern, former president of the World Bank

Environmental pollutions costs already 7 to 10% of the chinese GDP. By the way, instead of blaming them, you should start learning from them since according to my calculations, their carbon intensity is the same at the US on a CO2/ GDP purpchase power parity based...

Christian Aid, a NGO estimated the human cost of global warming of about 185 million lives based on IPCC scenarios.
This is about 30 times the amount of the Shoah... on you to judge now what´s a priority now.

ITs true. we may not notice it here. but in the Artic regions around the globe. In the countries of the U.S., Canada, Russia, Greenland, and so forth, the Inuits they call them. Say there way of life is threatened by the melting of ice. Animals such as polor bears, walruses, are migrating further north. The ice was always good where they lived for generations. The past ten years has been the most dramatic change in climate in the artic acording to its people. 155,000 inuits are getting together to tell the world something major is happening. we just don't know it here yet.

What BS are you refering to? If you're saying that the global warming warnings from the scientific community IS the BS...then I'm sorry.

Well, it seems that the American people need something to fear. In the 20s it was money. In the 60s it was blacks. In the 80s it was Russia (not saying that one was baseless) and in the 00's its the prospect of everyone frying to death. The fact of the matter is, the Earth goes through cycles and in the 100 or so years we've possessed industrial knowledge we haven't done anything to change that. Nor can we.
