For those who feel global warming is part of a natural "phase" or "cycle" of some kind, I'm curious:

Do you dispute the PRESENCE of huge amounts of CO2 in the atmosphere (compared to a few centuries ago) or do you dispute the IMPORTANCE of all this extra CO2 ?

Ill be honest with you i dont do much, i sometimes might turn off the tap if im brushing my teef 2 save water.

other then that, i dont recycle, i watch plenty of telly i use a lot of energy. it reallu scares me 2 think whats gonna happen 2 our planet if we dont do enough about it

but i figure if im the only person thats doing anythin about it, its not gonna make any different.1 person cant help change the world?

We need 2 get EVERYONE to help.... how did we get 90% of people to stop speading,drink drivin, and smokin in non smokin areas, and How did we get people 2 not park in non parkin areas? WE FIGNED THEM! with money$$$ some people cant afford 2 get parkin tickets, and figns...

so maybe if they start fignin people for waistin water or energy.
then maybe thats the way to go with global warming.???
wot do u think? wots ur thoughts.
id really like 2 c the world cool down, like im sik of it getin 130 degrees! arghh espashly in australia! i cnt remema the last tym it raind

If there is no danger of fires, and other things, why couldn't they be used? It might be better than a roof falling in on folks. Course we now live in Arizona, but we did live in Texas, Ft. Worth area.

Also my love for flying everywhere by private Jet, that burns thousands of gallons of fossil fuels, and even my love of SUV motorcades that take me and my entorauge anywhere there is a camera or audience of little people to be spoken down to.

I have a few volkswagen solar panels, those that they use to keep the batteries charged.
I´m planing to use them in combination with a car battery and a small power inverter with a timer to pump water only a couple of minutes a day to water my bonsais,
I have the panels, the battery, the timer, the power inverter and the pump,

Since European Wasps are different to other wasps in thier feeding habits i.e., they collect eat and feed meat products to their larve, does anyone know of a suitable meat based bait that the wasps can take back to the nest and destroy the whole colony. The bait would also need to be placed in a suitable feeder so that other animals, birds, etc. could not access the bait.

Everybody thinks that the global heating is centered in the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near surface air and oceans in recent decades, but how it increases this temperature?
If the heating comes from the outside as they say, that would increase in also the rains proportionally and we had spoken of drought these last years.
Reason why the only logical explanation is that this heat comes from within Earth. If the Earth’s mantle is directly underneath crust, (it’s smaller in the oceanic zones) In the mantle, temperatures range between 500°C-900°C (932°F-1,652°F the zone of contact with the crust. how the heat climbs to the surface, if it finds more "obstacles" in their way less heat will arrive at the surface:
- In the oceanic zones the mantle is smaller and the temperature is smaller and also it crosses cold water levels so when it arrives at level zero its temperature is not sufficient to evaporate the water to form clouds and rain.
- In the terrestrial zones it is where at the end of century XIX the heat has been increased what it has happened in the crust in that time?
En 1859 Edwin Drake perforated the first oil well in Pensilvania.
The storage of Carbon in the fossil deposits (coal, petroleum and natural gas) supposes a reduction of carbon dioxide in the atmospheric levels. If they free the fósil deposits the amount of carbon dioxide of the atmosphere is greater and we added to it that the possibilities of recycled are reduced when diminishing the wooded mass and vegetal.
the warm of the interior trying to arrive at the surface and it finds with the fossil deposits. They retain that heat so that it does not leave to the surface. These fossil deposits do not have oxygen like the carbon dioxide that are used in the extinguishers,and other thermal insulators like plastic, fabric, etc. They are derived from these fossil deposits and in addition to change to these thermal insulators by other elements more conductors of the heat, as in the case of petroleum that they introduce water, the water carrys hotter to the surface. This heat arrives at the atmosphere where they are the Greenhouse effect gases. The atmosphere retains more heat and it still gives back to the Earth more energy causing a imbalance in the radiactive balance. It casuses air masses of different temperatures take place forts rains and wind (hurricanes, etc.), and electric activity
We do not forget the tectonic plates, the increase of heat causes that there is a greater vulcanism and seismicity, and they move with more facility so they are producing more earthquakes, tidal waves (tsunami), volcanic eruptions, etc. They release more heat of interior. the governments are dedicated to prove their armament in the most unstable or fragile zones like France that bombs its atoll where it is the crater of the meteorite.

Some of the errors in Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth":
--Gore, aiming to undermine the significance of previous warm periods such as that of the Middle Ages, promoted the 1,000-year 'hockey stick' temperature chart [debunked by McIntyre & McKitrick, 2005];
--Gore showed heart-rending pictures of the New Orleans floods and insisted on a link between increased hurricane frequency and global warming that is not supported by the facts [IPCC, 2001, 2007];
--Gore asserted that today's Arctic is experiencing unprecedented warmth while ignoring that Arctic temperatures in the 1930s and 1940s were as warm or warmer [Briffa et al., 2004];
--Gore did not explain that Arctic temperature changes are more closely correlated with changes in solar activity than with changes in atmospheric CO2 concentrations [Soon, 2005];

If you really see this as the biggest problem facing Mankind, aren't you obliged to do everything you can? This is a bit more of a point on focusing on real solutions to the CO2 problem.

- Protect Rainforests.
- Protect Coral Reefs.
- Reduce CO2 Emissions starting largest source to smallest.

Is the recycling of plastic environmentally sound or does the recycling process create more emissions and or waste than it saves? What about the energy used to recycle, is it less than creating new products. So many things are now not avalable with out plastic wappers, is it viable to go back to using paper/glass etc or are the processes used to make these /recycle these as destructive as the use of plastics?
What is best?

I read that the bill to move daylight savings three weeks earlier in the Spring was to give us more daylight and conserve energy...perhaps I am not thinking about this as indepth as I should, but I fail to see how an extra hour three weeks earlier than usual will save energy.

Someone, please enlighten me...thanks.
