Since European Wasps are different to other wasps in thier feeding habits i.e., they collect eat and feed meat products to their larve, does anyone know of a suitable meat based bait that the wasps can take back to the nest and destroy the whole colony. The bait would also need to be placed in a suitable feeder so that other animals, birds, etc. could not access the bait.

All you need is decon mouse poison. m ixx the pellts of decon in some water and mix till it disolves then add some hamburger meat and mix to a paste. that paste will fry wasps and meats bees. make sure you let it sit in a container outside in the sun for a day of two to get the meat to the wasps desire.

the way I exterminated a couple of nests in my yard was pretty simple.

I poured about 2 litres of ordinary petrol all over it, stood well back and threw a match into it. That worked a treat! Once the main colony was destroyed, it took a couple of days for the other wasps who were out to come back, find their nest destroyed then they went away and died as well.

probably better than using the horrifically poisonous and toxic chemicals that are touted as being the "right" way to deal with these little horrors as well!

hope this helps!

Wait until night time and then put a big garbage bag over the nest, leave a small opening to spray the nest, then quick shut the bag and tie it. They have some good wasp sprays you can use!

why so comlicated ,just smoke out the wasps with a burning news paper and destroy the nest when they have gone ,they may be back to start a new nest and do it again ,they will give up and go somewhere else.
or is death your objective ,not just removal
if so Why???
