i would like to find the " Current " snow and water levels in my area, but the internet only shows me what they were or they only show
what the capacity is of the lakes.
I need to know what the CURRENT levels are as of now. Does anyone know how to find this out on the internet. ?
I live in California. I have tried several sites but not luck but maybe I am looking up the wrong way.

I don't know if they have it, but you could see if the weather channel website has a map of snowcover for your area.

This is a website I like for river levels - it may not have every stream, but if you can find a river with a gauge near you, they sometimes have updates every 15 minutes. Also, it can provide flood stage info, drainage area, historical flood info, etc. depending on the site. Just click on the state, then on the "dot" closest to you: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/rt
