Is it true that the Earth is doomed and we are all gonna die in 50 years or is it made up! I read that the ozone layer is healing itself since there has been a decrease in free radicals since CFCs were cut down.

I have this great invention, its called a "tree." It is so amazing, it breathes in Co2 and breathes out Oxygen! Its so high-tech that it "self-replicates" which means that all by itself it will create seeds and drop them, and they will in turn grow into NEW TREES!

I'm a genius!! Do you think I can win the $25 Million?

TEN TIPS FOR EARTHQUAKE SAFETY

1) Most everyone who simply "ducks and covers" when buildings collapse are crushed to death. People who get under objects, like desks or cars, are crushed.

2) Cats, dogs and babies often naturally curl up in the fetal position. You should too in an earthquake. It is a natural safety/survival instinct. You can survive in a smaller void. Get next to an object, next to a sofa, next to a large bulky object that will compress slightly but leave a void next to it.

3) Wooden buildings are the safest type of construction to be in during an earthquake. Wood is flexible and moves with the force of the earthquake. If the wooden building does collapse, large survival voids are created. Also, the wooden building has less concentrated, crushing weight. Brick buildings will break into individual bricks. Bricks will cause many injuries but less squashed bodies than concrete slabs.

If you have renewable energy generation capability such as solar or wind, and are connected to the grid and net metered for electricity, are there any states that require the utility company to continue to pay you for the power you produce beyond what you use annually? I've heard that they wipe your slate clean each year in every state, and you loose any credits beyond what you have used. Is that true? And if so, can you point me to an official source to find out more? MANY THANKS!!

Are you ready to freeze? According to recent study of GHG (green house gases) which has confirmed that methane comes from decomposing as well as live vegetation and has 3 times as much capability to trap energy, we can clearly see spikes over a 650Million year frame from looking at ice samples from the arctic and analyzing air bubbles. We know that as a precurser to ice-ages is a dramatic increases of methane and co2, which seem to naturally occur without our help. In looking at the graph, with the sharpest rise in GHG gasses come the sharpest decline in tempurature. So with the GHG levels nearly triple of anything known to man, do you think it is time to get a parka? The earth seems to have a natural resporitory system, I think we gave it asthma.

Lets say somehow humans stopped reproducing and died off. Would the Earth restore itself? Would the damage we've done (including global warming) be reversed, or is it too late? Would all the endangered animals die without our help, or would they survive? Would the distribution of animals (population, location) change?
Basically, what do you think would happen to the world if we suddenly disappeared?

Today, it was announce that a prize of $35 million was being set up for establishing the technology for reversing climate change. Where do I find the rules and application form for this? 18 years of hard work and just about to go from the lab to scale up. This prize comes at a good time. I can not find anything other than a few news stories.
