Nope.

We're waste producers, and a lot of our waste is stuff that can't be processed by natural means.

We're kind of like Yeast. Yeast consumes sugar and produces alcohol until there's more alcohol in the environment than the yeast can tolerate. When this happens, the Yeast dies.

Eventually, the Earth will no longer be capable of supporting human life. When this happens we'll die off in massive numbers, perhaps becoming extinct.

I think that we are more like viruses. Yeast dies but virus does not, it moves on to the new territory to consume it until it "sucks the life out of it", then moves on again.
Why do you think we explore other planets? Looking for new inhabitable host to devour upon, or maybe dump some of our overproduced waste?
Humans - viruses, hmmm... so many similarities.

I don't think we process waste, I thing we create a lot of waste (i.e. poop)
