Will there come a point in the future where large scale loss of life has occurred and the antisocial and subversive nature of denial of global warming caused by mankind has to be confronted by law. After all holocaust denial is a criminal offence in Germany and Austria.

every one understands that wind power isnt anything near enough and water power will never support what we use. so why not build nuclear make it afordable and use more than 3 or 6% fuel 6% only last for 18 months 90% last for 5 years thats 3 times less you have to get rid of. coal and gas are polutants and every one is crying about that you know the sky is falling and all. (drama queens) its the same ones that want to get rid of coal and gas that dont want nuclear. what is the allterative?

Found found out One of Al Gores houses uses TWICE the amount of energy in one month than a normal family uses in one YEAR.

So for all his rallies about saving energy and global warming, one has to wonder if he TRULY feels as strongly as he preaches. I'd say without a doubt, no he doesn't.

On top of that I read he fly's around in private jets which consume as much gas in a couple hours as a normal car does in an entire year.

Whats the deal with him? I'm starting to think its all a big ploy to get him in with the hollywood elites for his nomination as president.

I only have a small amount of money. If I donate to a charity, I want to give it to ones that are really working in these areas and carry a low overhead.

I'm sure most people, including most scientists, believe the science that the Earth is warmer than it used to be, otherwise, we'd still be in an ice age. The Earth is continuing to get warm, but at a much faster pace. Entire glaciers have melted and not come back in my life time. These are glaciers that have existed since the ice age. How can anyone deny this is happening and what do they get out of it? Second part is...if your reason is that it isn't man made, this doesn't mean global warming isn't happening. So I will redirect you to the question. What do you get out of denying global warming?

Why does it have to be EITHER a naturally cyclical phenomenon that would happen regardless of us (right-wing stance) OR a man-made disaster due to our burning of fossil fuels, etc (left-wing stance)? Why has nobody mentioned option C: It is a naturally occuring event that happens every x number of years, but our actions are speeding up and/or intensifying the process.

I'm just thinking about all the cars that have to slow down then acellerate to get past them. Driving like that increases fuel consumption so whilst the person on the bike isn't contributing to emissions they are causing everyone that passes them to add more!

Or am I talking guff?

There is still time !! There is too much bull-crap. Not enough reality in this Government to be concerned with the World for what it is really worth. My opinion also, the Death Penalty should be reinstated. Everything is not being recycled and is being pushed aside until it starts to consume us and we all can not breath .

I'm assuming that collecting solar energy essentially "robs" the earth of the energy from sunlight. If this solar energy was used on a much larger scale, what effect would it have on the earth? Perhaps lower global temperature?
