I remember when I was a kid the birds would leave during the winter and return during the spring. But now for the past 4 or 5 yrs. they haven't. For instance right now there is snow and ice on the ground, yet the birds are still around. Have they evolved or something? It's so weird it seems like their little bodies couldn't survive this weather, yet here they are.

Would there be a difference in air pressure in a canyon;

Below Sea level?

Above Sea level?

Also what would happen if say there was no 100% Co2 on earth & you pumped air into say the Grand Canyon, & damed it at ether end.
Would it Pool? would it Rise strait up? would it overflow?
could you breath the air? what sort of (simplified) sums could you do to figure out how high you could go in the canyon b4 it was un breathable? & would gravity have an effect ? Also how would you calculate that into the sum?

p.s Dont worry about the How we get air & sutch... just would it stay basicly, & would it need to be replenished or would plants be able to sustian it?

kinda like what the Aztechs did with those micro climate gardems up the mountains.. just wondering.. need more facts! thanks.

& no i cant spell spent to mutch time plaing paintball..

I am trying to be environmentally friendly and recycle most household rubbish - I have just purchased a PAPER BRIQUETTE MAKER, to recycle my newspapers, and hopefully use in the summer for the fire pit etc., When I received it, it mentions at the bottom of the instruction manual, that it is not LEGAL everywhere to burn these briquettes, and to check with our local council!!!

Apart from wanting to know if its worth all the hastle, is it legal, has anyone come up against this? I am rather cross about the whole thing at the moment.

I know it is important,going green.What i don't understand is, how Gore can point fingers at us,and not NASA. I know the airlines have been addressed as far as fuel and damage to the ozone layer.But those huge NASA rockets that go off,my gosh!Those have and are goofing up the ozone.Look how our weather has changed.Right now, winter weather systems as we use to know them,are not the same.I do not believe that we even come close to damaging the ozone layer as much as NASA has.I just wanted to mention this. Thank you.

We haven't heard much about this since the onset of the 'Global Warming' scare. Has this 'hole' been fixed or does the idea of rising waters destroying coastal cities inspire more fear?
