I mean, what about people here NOW who need food, protection, and economic opportunity? Why are radical environmentalists refusing to allow third world countries to industrialize so that they can feed themselves and create jobs for their people?

Is it easier to be an activist for something that is intangible and will not be judged a success or a failure within your lifetime than it is to be an activist for something REAL and immediately MEASURABLE?

Another more pressing and immediate threat to us here in the U.S. is Islamic terrorism that could kill us TODAY.

ok i believe global warming is good and all, but for a speech i must give in 2 weeks, i need to give 2 positive effects. problem is the internet is full of "global warming leads to death" people so all i managed to get was that it helps crops. I found a nother one about how it stabalizes weather, but i dindt get how. if u kno pleaze help, but u can give other reasons as well

I've replaced a dozen 100 watt bulbs with 23 watt CFL bulbs. According to www.onebillionbulbs.com this will save me $150 dollars a year in electric bills and reduce CO2 emission by one ton per year.

Why aren't you doing it?

What can the average Australian do to get our government to reconsider signing the kyoto agreement? What is the reason John Howard has given for not signing it, and what do you think the real reason is? Do you think we should be given the oppertuinity to vote on such an important decission? I personally think it is digracefull that we are one of the only countries not to sign....
