We environmentalists have an excess of hot air don't we?

Check out the Hadley Center and watch the little globe go round, see link 1 below. It demonstrates the answer to your question visually, and quite well ... notice that in approx 15 years the ice caps have melted significantly and the effect that will have on the rate of temperature increase. No more Latent Heat of Fusion.

If we stopped producing CO2 completely TODAY ... they expect the trend to continue for up to 200 years.

If you are looking for a variety of sources, the green learning link is very good. (it includes the Hadley site)

In the last 5 years the Earths over all temp. reduced by .037 degree C. According to the scientists at the Antarctic say that the glaciers are growing. The glaciers on Mt. Ranier were melting because of the heat from the volcanic activity. Same with Mt. Lassen. I bring this up, because these were used as supposed fact that Global warming is happening at an alarming rate. The Gulf stream has remained at a pretty fair constant and the places that the alarmists use are very skewed. When you take measurements at the equator in the Indian Ocean as these quacks did, you have to take in certain factors over a period of decades and also figure in volcanic activity in the area and also seismic activity. All of this was purposefully ignored when they produced their biased results. This is why the MIT scientist called the alarmists frauds. Is the Earth warming? Possibly. Does man cause it? No. Will it get warmer? A little more, not too much. What will happen? From the Earths warming, more fresh water goes into the Gulf Stream and then it slows down and we will most likely see another mini ice age like the Earth had about 1000 years ago. Is there anything that can be done to stop it? If you were God I guess you could, but that is about it. How do you stop the earth from having it's cycles that it has been having since before the dawn of man? You can't.

Is man polluting the Earth? Yes. It is disgusting. I have seen it up close and personal all over the world. It is sickening. Just New York City dumping trash in the Atlantic Ocean has caused harm that will take thousands of years to get cleaned out by the Earths own cleansing process. China and India are now the worst polluters in the world. The U.S. is now around # 5.
This is why the Kyoto agreement was a joke. It only restricted the U.S. and didn't reduce the real pollution causes at all. Look at all things and not just a narrow scope of things.
Global warming is the least of the problems. The testing of nukes by these little 3rd world countries is really bad. They are testing dirty nukes that put radiation in the atmosphere.
We quit testing dirty nukes long ago.

By the way, many scientists believe through the evidence they have seen that when the next ice age does happen, it will happen very quickly with not much of a warning.
One example of proof was a mammoth that was found in a glacier with fresh grass still in its mouth. One moment it was grazing where there was grass and the next it was being froze to death. A wooly mamoth can take extreme temps before it dies. There are other data proofs also to back up the theory of quick event ice age occurances.

And thank for the thumbs down. You on the far left help me prove my point of how idiotic the far left nut jobs are. I had in no way said anything that had deserved a thumb down up to now. As far as the little computer generated globe crap, that computer model was proved to be in severe error. The data fed in was incorrect and skewed. Only the far left idiots would believe in such stupid hype after it has been disproven.

In ten years, the temperature should average another 3 degrees higher. The polar caps will continue to melt and the oceans will rise but not as much as many think.

Many parts of the planet that could not support a decent growing season will find their season longer. Trees and plants that were used to not growing in the winter will become stressed due to the shock in the ecosystems.

Forty years from now, the polar caps will be all but gone. Many parts of the planet will become inhabitable and some will require masks as the CO2 levels become dangerous for life.

Rain Forest will be all but gone, floods, tornados and hurricanes become the norm. However with the oceans becoming flooded with fresh water, the gulf stream as well as the North Atlantic stream will be either forced down or stopped all together. This brings the temperature in the northern countries down considerably. Since the cold air can also be trapped due to the CO2 levels, the beginning of an ice age will be just around the corner.

Fifty years from now, the ice age is starting in northern countries as well as the deep southern countries as the loss of the gulf stream brings the temperature down to a point where an ice age will begin.

Hopefully before then, we will figure out how to get rid of the CO2 levels in the stratosphere. If not, we may be doomed as a race.

The global warming/global cooling alarmists will take whatever direction is most alarming and profitable.

Ten years from now, we should still be experiencing global warming. There is still much indoctrination to be done before a new "climate study" indicates that we're slipping into a new ice age.

Twenty years from now, we should be on the verge of freezing to death. "The Day After Tomorrow" will be re-released as a 20th anniversay apocalypse version. The upside-down hockey stick will be the new model by which people are scared into giving money to anti-global cooling organizations.

The warming/cooling nonsense will flip-flop every 10 years, based on what new "study" has emerged and what profits can be made from switching enviro-agendas. As long as fearmongering is profitable, there will always be people telling you to live your life differently so that they can become wealthy.

In the end, the earth will warm and cool like it always has, because that's what it has always done, long before Greenpeace or human existence. But truth and science aren't the friends of the global warming/cooling alarmists, so you can look forward to living in climatic terror for the rest of your life.

I'm curious about an article from Newsweek back in 1975. It was about the coming ice age. Also if we are just now experiencing warming then why were the 6 hottest years on record not very recent. See TWC site Top 5th and 6th years were 1930 and 1920 something!
