“Outrageous! That’s what you’ll say over and over again when you read how the biotechnology companies have manipulated the government, our food, and the media, and put an entire generation at risk.
- Ben Cohen, Co-Founder, Ben & Jerry’s

“Clear, profound, and unerringly accurate, Seeds of Deception tells you what you need to know about genetically engineered food — and what Monsanto won't tell you. If you care about the safety of our food supply, if you care what corporations are doing to your food and health, this is the book to get.”
- John Robbins, author, The Food Revolution, and Diet For A New America

“This pivotal exposé leaves no doubt that politics and corporate influence, not sound science, allowed these potentially dangerous GM foods onto supermarket shelves.”
- Joe Mendelson, Legal Director, Center for Food Safety

“I have seen first hand how Monsanto and the FDA have resorted to scientific deceit of the highest order to market genetically engineered milk. With captivating style and a flair for describing science in clear, accurate language, Seeds of Deception unveils the distortions, omissions, and lies for all to see.”
- Samuel S. Epstein, M.D., professor emeritus environmental and occupational medicine
University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health
Chairman, Cancer Prevention Coalition

There were some conflicting answers last time I asked this question so I feel it needs some clarification. The sign on the plastic bottle bank near where I work asks for only bottles (washing up liquid, fizzy drinks, cooking oil etc.) marked with the plastic 1, 2, or 3 logos.

It then goes onto say that they don't want yoghurt pots, margarine tubs, plastic cups, packaging, waxed drink cartons, plastic bags and food wrappers along with pesticides, car oil containers and DIY bottles. In larger writing it explicitly states 'No Plastic Tops or Lids'.

My question is when, as is the case with milk lids, one of the forbidden items is marked with a recyclable logo with a number corresponding to plastics that are accepted, is it OK to put them in and why? Are they just simplifying things?

The process of plastic recycling has always been less known to me than that of metals or glass. It would be nice to have an answer from someone who worked in the industry with first hand experience.

If One million people didn't flush after just one pee in a day....and waited till the next pee...that would be 2.5 million gallons of water saved each day. Simple...huh? And how many times a day do you go pee?? 6-10...or more???

What's the rush....don't flush!!

For example, 2 rare kinds of sharks were found off the coast of Japan in the past few months and when they try to capture it, they died. Just recently, over 30 new species have been found when an Antartic ice shelf broke loose.

I think global warming is causing disturbance in the deep ocean bottoms and all these new species are popping out of no where and then dying. What do you think?

Have you ever seen or used one of those toilet seats with all the buttons on your right? The toilet seat is warm in the winter. You could adjust the water sprinkler. Hard or Soft. You could aim it to your *** or the thing in front of it. And it even has a button for fake flushing sounds if you don't want to be embarrassed while cutting butt wood.

Is this product really usefull or just a waste of energy?

By the way, I think running water is the way to go when cleaning yourself after doing 'business'. Not tissue. Eeew...

People are using lots and lots of earth's resources everyday and with global warming and polltion, and all the bad stuff we're doing, would human life on earth end before earth dies? Because it takes millions of years for a planet to "die". People are messing up this planet so much. Personally, I believe in what the bible says, but I wonder if the world would end anyway, if there was no God.

The world we found ourselves in as children is no more. Pollutants in the air, water and soil poison our bodies and that of our children. Increased competition and ratrace, television, lack of open playgrounds are all contributing to constrict the mindspace of our children. All pervading corruption is also beginning to impinge on their consciousness. How can we ensure that the world continues to reveal itself in its unspoilt and pristine glory to the future generations - that is my question.
